Independent High-End Print Broker / Sales Representative (1099 Contractor)

• Target quota: Minimum $100,000 in booked business per year

A world-class, high-capacity printing facility in Mexico that specializes in premium, high-volume yearbook manufacturing. During the off-season, its production lines, advanced binding technologies and master-craftsmanship print capabilities open up for commercial contracts.

MUST HAVES

• Deep industry knowledge (mandatory): you speak fluent print. You understand paper weights, finishes, ink types, prepress technicalities and binding methods. Candidates without print manufacturing literacy won't be considered.
• The hunter mindset: you don't need a massive multi-million dollar book of business, but you have the direct-outreach and networking skills to uncover small-to-midsize high-end print projects.
• Autonomy: this is a fully remote, lone-wolf position.
• Performance-driven: comfortable with a clear benchmark of delivering at least $100K in gross print volume per year.

The role

You'll secure commercial print jobs that fill the facility's seasonal gap. Because the facility excels at ultra-premium finishes, it's uniquely positioned to win high-margin, visually stunning print jobs at a highly competitive manufacturing cost.

This is a non-exclusive 1099 role. It's fine to have 2 to 3 other non-competing gigs or manufacturing relationships active. Your only mandate is to find and deliver at least $100,000 in high-end print business each year using the open press capacity.

What you'll do

• Generate your own leads for high-end commercial print work
• Scope each client's design requirements
• Pass the specs to the internal estimating team
• Target work that fits the facility's strengths:
  • High-end coffee table books: premium technology, precise color management and heavy ink-load capabilities built for art, photography, fashion, luxury real estate and corporate history showcases
  • Premium case binding (hardcovers): exceptional structural integrity, custom cloth/faux-leather wrapping, foil stamping and debossing
  • Perfect binding (softcovers): high-speed, heavy-duty softcover production with crisp finishes

Qualifications

• Print manufacturing literacy: paper, finishes, inks, prepress and binding
• Proven ability to find and close print projects through direct outreach and networking
• Self-driven and able to work fully on your own
• Comfortable with a $100K+ annual booked-business target
