AI Summary

The HR Generalist will manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, payroll support, and HR documentation for a global workforce. They will also provide expert advice on employee relations and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and technology.

About us

Founded in 1996, Argos Multilingual is a global provider of technology-enabled language, AI and data solutions. We combine human expertise, technology and AI to help organisations communicate, operate and grow across markets.

We work with some of the world’s most recognised companies, from global technology leaders and e-commerce innovators to major organisations in life sciences and manufacturing.

We are an international organisation with 400+ people across 42 countries. We continue to expand our capabilities in AI and data alongside our established language and localisation expertise, building on a strong foundation while embracing the opportunities created by new technology.

About the role

As an HR Generalist, you'll deliver a high-quality HR experience across our global organisation. Our People team is a valued strategic partner to the business, enabling performance and creating an environment where people can thrive.

This is an individual contributor role with significant autonomy: day-to-day HR support across the full employee lifecycle, trusted advice to managers and employees, hands-on recruitment, and sound judgement on more complex people matters.

With a workforce spanning 42 countries, you'll be comfortable navigating different employment environments, cultures and ways of working.

As Argos continues to grow, expanding our data business and embracing AI, we are also evolving our People function to meet the changing needs of the business.

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who can operate independently, make an immediate contribution, challenge the status quo and help shape how HR is delivered. You'll report to the Senior Vice President (Head of HR) as the sixth member of the People team.

What you'll do

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

    • Support the full lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
    • Act as trusted first point of contact for managers and employees.
    • Keep HR processes, records and HRIS data accurate and compliant.
    • Support payroll, benefits and external providers.
    • Manage HR documentation, contracts and employee communications.

    Recruitment

      • Run end-to-end recruitment for agreed roles, from briefing and advertising to offer.
      • Partner with hiring managers on requirements, selection and decisions.
      • Manage sourcing, pipelines and candidate experience.
      • Work with external partners where specialist expertise is needed.
      • Improve recruitment processes with technology and AI.

      Employee Relations

        • Provide practical advice on performance, absence, conduct and other matters.
        • Independently handle complex Employee Relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and workplace investigations.
        • Ensure decisions are fair, consistent, policy-aligned and compliant.
        • Know when to seek local or specialist advice and escalate appropriately.

        Performance, Policies & Continuous Improvement

          • Support performance management, development and employee experience initiatives with the HR Business Partner and L&D team.
          • Help develop and implement HR policies that reflect applicable employment requirements.
          • Work effectively across our locations, drawing on local expertise.
          • Simplify and automate HR processes and contribute to our evolving use of HR technology and AI.
          • Contribute to projects that improve employee experience, efficiency and scalability.

          Who you are

Solutions-driven, self-directed and comfortable with autonomy, collaborative, pragmatic in balancing business needs with good HR practice, and curious about how AI and technology can change the way HR is delivered.

          Skills & Experience

          • 8+ years' HR experience with hands-on work across the full employee lifecycle.
          • Strong end-to-end recruitment experience.
          • Strong practical knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across different employment environments, seeking local advice where required.
          • Demonstrable experience independently managing complex employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, investigations).
          • Proven ability to advise and coach managers on a broad range of people matters.
          • Experience developing and improving HR policies, processes and systems with practical, scalable solutions.
          • Experience working effectively in a remote, globally distributed organisation.
          • Genuine interest in HR technology, automation and AI.

          Why join us?

You'll join at an important point in our growth and transformation. We have almost 30 years of experience and an established global client base, but we're not interested in simply maintaining what we've built.

AI, data and technology are reshaping our industry, and we're responding by investing in new capabilities and new ways of working.

You'll work with colleagues across countries, cultures and time zones on work with genuinely international reach, with the scale and stability of an established global business plus real influence over how we operate and where we go next.
