HR Generalist
Reports to: HR Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist partners with leaders and employees to administer, execute, and continuously improve Human Resources programs across the employee lifecycle. This role independently manages recruitment, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, performance management, HR reporting, and policy administration while supporting organizational growth. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource to leaders and employees, identifies process improvements, and ensures the consistent application of company policies and employment practices. This position exercises sound judgment, maintains the highest level of confidentiality, and operates with a high degree of ownership, professionalism, and accountability.

Primary Objectives:
- Own and execute Human Resources processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to meet hiring goals and maintain an exceptional candidate experience.
- Partner with department leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace issues.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend process improvements and support business decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve HR documentation, SOPs, and employee resources that improve consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining accurate HR records.
Secondary Objectives:
- Independently administer employee onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and organizational changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for routine employee relations matters and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Audit HRIS data, personnel files, and compliance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate annual HR initiatives, including performance reviews, benefits communication, policy acknowledgements, and engagement surveys.
- Support leave administration, accommodations, workplace investigations, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor and manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely responses to employee inquiries.
- Partner with hiring managers to recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates.
- Process employee status changes accurately within the HRIS.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.
- Support Executive Leadership with strategic HR initiatives and special projects.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Experience working in a multi-state environment preferred.
- Experience using HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
