General Summary:

 

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for ensuring data quality and creating reports and dashboards for internal clients. The incumbent resolves system issues and provides guidance to end users. The role is involved in improving the system through eliciting requirements, creating and running test scripts, and assisting in the implementation of new solutions as required.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintains data quality of HRIS, including proper data security, by performing regular data audits and resolving any data integrity issues.
  • Collects and analyzes HR data, translating data into appropriate metrics. Prepares reports and participates in the design of HR dashboards. Responds to ad hoc data and report requests.
  • Acts as a first point of contact for user guidance and advice. Responds to queries and issues related to supported systems, analyzing the issue to identify the root cause. Solves the issue directly or works with appropriate SMEs/vendors for issue resolution.
  • Participates in defining system requirements and testing and deploying solutions. Ensures there is a match between solutions and organizational system needs.
  • Provides user support through documentation, developing and facilitating training, and creating supporting materials.
  • Reviews and analyzes system functionality and provides recommendations for improvements, documenting any implemented changes. Remains up to date on product developments.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in IT, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with an HRIS or other business system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion
  • Minimum 2 years progressive HR experience

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Possesses a working knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and uses but is not dependent on pre-written processes to assist in the support process.
  • Troubleshoots issues affecting a single application or system.
  • Responds to IT system issues before user realizes the concern, and determines what changes need to be made.

Security and Data Protection

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of relevant security legislation and laws.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of IT security principles, requirements, and standards, and acts in accordance with them.
  • Develops plans for testing low-impact threats on security.
  • Develops strategies to protect single key data at a system/application level.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of testing methodologies and standards.
  • Uses but is not dependent on pre-defined testing procedures to debug simple system issues.
  • Performs testing and validation (volume testing).
  • Develops test cases used at the system/application level.

Customer Focus

  • Applies knowledge about the customer to inform decision making and problem solving.
  • Strives to provide additional value to the customer experience.
  • Actively solicits internal and external customer feedback in order to improve business relationships.
  • Suggests ways to improve the customer experience.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

Data Literacy

  • Identifies and leverages relevant data when making decisions, providing recommendations, or analyzing organizational issues.
  • Interprets metrics and data visualizations (using understanding of basic statistics) to identify patterns and extract insight where possible.
  • Follows established processes when inputting or working with data in HR systems to ensure proper data quality.
  • Uses effective storytelling to communicate results of data analysis and influence business decisions.
