Summary of Work

Human Resources - Remote in ND - HR Talent Management Specialist

Play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing talent management initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational performance and fostering employee engagement as a Senior Talent Management Specialist for the state's largest agency.

As a Senior Talent Management Specialist, you will support the creation and deployment of performance management, retention, promotion and succession planning processes through communication and resource development. Additionally, you will conduct leadership competency assessments, promote equal employment opportunity and diversity, and assist in talent review processes. You will support HR Business Partners in deploying engagement initiatives, oversee intern engagement programming and assist in developing performance management training programs. Furthermore, you will analyze talent pool data and ensure effective performance management processes are in place for managers and their reports.

To thrive in this position, you have a thorough understanding of talent management methods, HR principles and employment laws. You should have the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations, design and implement performance management programs, and demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Additionally, you have experience with HR activities throughout the entire team member lifecycle.

To be considered for the Senior Talent Management Specialist, you must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and significant experience as a Human Resources professional with talent management, performance management or process management experience. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. Preference will be given to candidates possessing certification in the HR field and work experience within the State of North Dakota.

Location:
ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home anywhere in North Dakota or neighboring state with the ability and willingness to travel for in person meetings.
