The HR Coordinator serves as a highly visible, employee-focused resource during peak hiring and ramp seasons. This role provides frontline HR support to employees by answering basic HR-related questions, directing employees to the appropriate policies, resources, and teams, and helping create a positive employee experience from onboarding through operational integration.

In addition to employee support, the HR Coordinator proactively monitors workforce trends such as absenteeism, attrition, employee concerns, and engagement signals. The role partners closely with operations leaders and HR teams to conduct outreach, identify potential risks, and support retention and employee experience initiatives.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, programs, benefits, attendance, leave, and HR processes.
  • Guide employees to the appropriate resources, tools, policies, and support teams.
  • Deliver a responsive, concierge-level service experience that builds trust and confidence in HR.
  • Monitor basic workforce data and identify trends related to absenteeism, attrition, employee concerns, and engagement.
  • Partner with leaders to conduct employee outreach, stay conversations, pulse checks, and retention initiatives.
  • Escalate complex employee relations, compliance, or policy matters to the appropriate HR team.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee inquiries, trends, and follow-up actions.
  • Support onboarding, employee engagement, and workforce communication activities during ramp periods.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset with a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and establish positive relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable analyzing basic workforce metrics and identifying potential concerns.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 6 months of experience in Human Resources Administration, Employee Relations or Recruiting.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, call center operations, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
