Our wealth management services are provided through a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), and our capital services operate as a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Our newest line, Exemplar Sports, specializes in working with professional athletes and coaches, addressing their unique needs with utmost privacy and trust.

 

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a visionary Head of Wealth Management to lead and scale our wealth management services nationwide. This is an entrepreneurial role where you’ll act as the CEO of your own service line, focusing heavily on business development and lead generation to drive growth. While this position is designed for someone who excels in leadership, strategy, and business growth—not as the primary "doer" of day-to-day wealth management tasks—you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details early on. In the beginning, you’ll wear multiple hats to get the practice off the ground, but as the team grows, your focus will shift toward high-level strategy and expanding the business. Your ability to generate leads, handle early-stage operations, and transition into a leadership role will be key to the success and growth of our wealth management services.

 

You will also be able to undergo Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) training, aligning you with Exemplar’s strategic business growth methodology and leadership culture.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Generation & Business Development: Take ownership of generating new client opportunities, building a robust pipeline, and actively driving the growth of Exemplar’s Wealth service.
  • Portfolio Management: Develop innovative investment strategies, shape asset allocation models, and master risk management techniques to optimize client portfolios.
  • Financial Planning: Provide expert financial planning tailored to high-net-worth individuals and families, creating comprehensive plans for long-term success.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build genuine connections with clients, deliver personalized services that exceed expectations, and nurture lasting partnerships.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of advisors, ensuring alignment with Exemplar’s value-based approach. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s culture, performance, and growth.
  • Business Development: Lead initiatives to expand our client base, cultivate strategic relationships, and highlight the unique value of our wealth management services.
  • Cross-Selling: Work collaboratively across Exemplar’s other service lines (tax, law, capital, etc.) to maximize cross-selling opportunities and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

 

Compensation Model

At Exemplar, your earnings are tied to the success and growth of the service line. We provide a unique compensation package designed for entrepreneurial professionals:

  • Non-recoverable draw of $60,000: This draw is not a salary, but a financial bridge to support you during the ramp-up period as you build the Wealth practice. It allows you to focus on growth without the immediate pressure of personal financial risk. The real financial opportunity comes from your success in leading the service line and driving profitability.
  • Profit Participation: You will earn 20% of net profits generated by the practices within your service line. Your earnings potential is uncapped, giving you complete control over your financial success as you scale the service line.
  • Wealth Commission: In addition to profit participation, you will enjoy commission earnings based on the wealth management services delivered to clients. This adds an additional revenue stream and aligns your success with client outcomes.
  • Origination Credits: You will be rewarded for originating new clients, incentivizing your efforts to drive business growth.
  • Performance-Based Earnings: Beyond profit sharing, your compensation includes additional opportunities tied to leadership roles, client development, and project management. This structure is designed to reward those who build and lead successful practices.
  • Value-Based Pricing: With no billable hours or timesheets, your compensation is directly tied to the value and results your team delivers, allowing you to focus on growing a successful practice.
  • Partnership Path: Achieving performance milestones within the service line will lead to automatic integration into the firm’s partnership structure, offering further financial and leadership opportunities.

 

Important Note on Compensation: The non-recoverable draw should not be viewed as a salary, but as a temporary bridge to support your efforts in building the practice. The real financial upside lies in the 20% profit participation and other performance-based incentives offering uncapped earning potential. The more you grow the practice, the higher your rewards. You are in control of your financial destiny.

 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years in a leadership role within wealth management.
  • Proven experience managing $50M+ in AUM.
  • FINRA registration (Series 65 or 66).
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, asset allocation, risk management, and tax strategies.
  • Relevant certifications (CFP, CFA) preferred.
