We're looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Head of Enterprise Architecture & Strategy to define and drive our technology vision, ensuring our platforms, systems, and technology investments support long-term business growth.

This is a strategic leadership role where you'll bridge business objectives and technology delivery, creating a clear roadmap for how our applications, platforms, data capabilities, and emerging technologies evolve. You'll play a central role in helping the organisation modernise core systems, reduce technical debt, and build the capabilities needed to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

About the Role

As Head of Enterprise Architecture & Strategy, you will be responsible for developing the organisation's enterprise technology strategy and target-state architecture. You'll ensure that critical systems, including case management, finance, CRM, and data platforms, operate as a connected ecosystem that supports operational excellence and future innovation.

Working closely with the CTO, technology leaders, and business stakeholders, you'll evaluate technology investments, guide major platform decisions, and establish architectural standards that enable scalable, sustainable growth.


What you will do?

  • Develop and maintain the organisation's enterprise technology strategy and multi-year technology roadmap.
  • Conduct technology landscape assessments and evaluate platform investment decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and govern the target-state enterprise architecture across applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, and security domains.
  • Establish architecture standards and integration principles for core business platforms, ensuring systems share information effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead strategic technology evaluations, business cases, and transformation initiatives, including platform modernisation and migration programmes.
  • Assess technology options based on total cost of ownership, business value, scalability, and operational impact.
  • Manage key strategic vendor relationships and technology partnerships, including contract negotiations, roadmap reviews, and escalation management.
  • Drive technology adoption and change management initiatives to maximise the value of technology investments.
  • Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies, market trends, and opportunities to create competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions support both current and future organisational needs.


Who you are

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Significant experience in technology leadership, enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or digital transformation roles.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale technology transformation, modernisation, or migration programmes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, systems integration, and technology governance.
  • Experience developing technology roadmaps that align technical capabilities with business objectives.
  • Commercially astute with strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
  • Ability to evaluate complex technology options and communicate recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and business leaders.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience within, or knowledge of, regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with case management, CRM, finance, Data, Analytics and AI solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud transformation, enterprise integration patterns, and modern application architectures.
  • Experience developing AI, machine learning, or data-driven business capabilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Cloud Professional Architect or similar.  
  • Understanding of technology procurement, business case development, and benefits realisation.
