Job Overview:


The GLT Strategic Account Manager leads the commercial development of glycine-based leaching solutions for the mining industry through the sale of technology usage licenses. The primary objective is to position glycine as an innovative, efficient, and environmentally sustainable alternative to traditional mineral extraction methods.

The GLT Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders, and closing commercial agreements that drive the adoption of this technology in mining operations at both national and international levels. Additionally, the role will work closely with technical, regulatory, and innovative teams to ensure that the solutions offered align with customer needs and market standards.

 

Responsibilities 


  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the sale of glycine licenses; design sales plans, set targets, and define market coverage territories.

 

  • Identify business opportunities within the mining sector; conduct active prospecting of potential clients and perform market analysis.

 

  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements with mining companies; prepare proposals, lead negotiations, and manage licensing contracts.

 

  • Promote glycine technology as a sustainable alternative for leaching processes; actively represent the technology at industry trade shows, conferences, and technical forums to increase visibility and drive adoption.

 

  • Coordinate with technical and support teams to ensure proper implementation; facilitate communication between the client and technical areas for pilot testing and scaling.

 

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments; prepare commercial intelligence reports and strategic recommendations.

 

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders; conduct regular site visits, post-sales follow-up, and manage strategic accounts.

 

  • Meet the sales and growth objectives set by management; report results, KPIs, and action plans to senior leadership.

 

Travel and Remote Work: 


  • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations/mine sites (approximately 50% of the time).


Requirements:


Experience:


  • Degree and professional license in Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA).


  • Professional experience Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience, with proven experience in technology licensing, new market development, and relationship management with key stakeholders in the mining sector.


  • Required knowledge: Leaching processes, chemistry applied to mining, environmental regulations, and mineral processing technologies.


  • Other qualifications; Strategic mindset and strong commercial vision, results-oriented, strong ability to learn technical concepts, leadership skills, and a high level of autonomy.


  • Personal qualities; Strong passion for innovation and sustainability, commercial acumen, and analytical mindset.


Technical Skills


  • Knowledge of leaching processes; strong expertise in mineral extraction techniques, particularly glycine leaching, cyanide leaching, and other chemical alternatives.


  • Technology licensing management; ability to structure, negotiate, and manage licensing agreements, including legal, financial, and operational aspects.


  • Mining market analysis; ability to interpret industry trends, identify commercial opportunities, and assess the feasibility of introducing new technologies.


  • Technical sales; experience in consultative selling of complex industrial solutions, with a focus on return on investment, operational efficiency, and sustainability.


  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations; familiarity with local and international regulations affecting the use of chemical reagents in mining, including safety and environmental standards.

 

  • Must be proficient in both English and Spanish.
