The Director, Global Marketing role will be tasked with defining, shaping, and implementing a business wide field marketing program that ushers customer prospects through a full-lifecycle buyer’s journey, with the goal being to generate new sales qualified leads. Responsibilities include defining the buyer’s personas and journeys, developing marketing campaigns, generating content, and executing multi-faceted campaigns using a marketing automation tool. The Director, Global Marketing will also be responsible for maintaining key performance metrics that can being used to measure progress, refine campaigns, and adapt techniques for maximum effectiveness. The role will work with the sales team, product organizations, and other key stakeholders across the company to set-up a program that improves customer awareness and generates new leads. The successful candidate will be a champion for field marketing, website, social media and demand generation, guiding all Lines of Business (LOBs) globally in how to support Sales and Marketing objectives
Main Responsibility Areas:
Strategy Leadership
• Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives and business goals.
• Identify key target markets, customer segments, and geographic regions to focus marketing efforts.
• Leading the HubSpot marketing automation system utilization.
• Directing social media presence and brand positioning.
• Be the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships
Campaign Planning and Execution
• Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across all mediums (in person, virtual and social media) and programs to drive demand generation, lead generation, and pipeline acceleration in the field.
• Define campaign objectives, messaging, content, tactics, and success metrics.
Sales Enablement.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to drive revenue growth.
• Develop sales enablement materials, such as presentations, collateral, case studies, social media posting and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as product and customer service, to create cohesive demand generation efforts.
• Mapping of content to buyer’s journeys.
• Develop use cases for each product at a field marketing events (virtually or in person events) to increase the MQL funnel for sales conversions.
• Coordination with other key internal and external stakeholders to develop new content, support the buyer’s journey, and qualify new leads.
• Develop and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to business members on the scope of the marketing best practices and tools.
Market Analysis and Insights
•Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies.
•Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
•Assess potential sponsorship or partnership opportunities at events and conferences.
•Plan locations, materials, staff, and other resources for field marketing events.
•Explain the value of a company's service or product to potential customers.
•Gather contact information from potential customers for sales follow-ups.
•Audit the results of field marketing efforts to identify strengths and weaknesses and adjust methods accordingly.
•Prepare reports on marketing activities to present to senior leaders.
•Management of KPIs and field marketing score card.
Event Management
• Plan, coordinate, and execute field marketing events, including tradeshows, conferences, seminars, workshops, and customer appreciation events.
• Ensure events are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and deliver a positive brand experience.
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Significant experience in field marketing or related roles, with demonstrated success in driving demand generation and revenue growth in SaaS/software industries.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, including demand generation, lead generation, and sales enablement.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
•Experience in managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
•Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Location - Canada- Ontario( Remote)
Salary Range- CAD 150K-165K
