Role Summary
We are looking for a data-driven, results-oriented performance marketer to take full ownership of our paid acquisition channels from day one. You will design, execute, and optimize multi-channel performance campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Shopify Ads, and content syndication channels to drive software installations and acquire high-intent B2B customers.
In addition to managing media spend, you will establish scalable marketing workflows, run structured growth experiments, and build the foundation to hire and lead a marketing department within 12 to 24 months.
Primary Responsibilities
- Paid Media Management: Direct end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization across Google, LinkedIn, Shopify, and content distribution networks.
- B2B Growth & App Conversions: Drive targeted B2B traffic to our Shopify App Store listings to convert prospects into active users and long-term customers.
- Systems & Documentation: Build structured, repeatable processes, SOPs, and metrics frameworks to replace informal marketing tactics.
- Data-Driven Experimentation: Formulate hypotheses, run rapid marketing tests, and iterate quickly based on clear performance data.
- Analytics & Attribution: Implement and manage tracking infrastructure, conversion funnels, and reporting dashboards using GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to execute product launches, feature updates, and customer expansion campaigns.
- Leadership Development: Establish the organizational structures needed to scale and manage a marketing team over the next 1–2 years.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of practical performance marketing experience (ideally 4–7 years) managing multi-channel B2B SaaS, e-commerce, or Shopify ecosystem campaigns.
- Acquisition Track Record: Proven success driving high-quality B2B leads via Google and LinkedIn advertising.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of core SaaS/e-commerce metrics, including CAC, CPL, ROAS, conversion rates, and volume growth.
- Process Orientation: Ability to build, document, and scale marketing workflows instead of relying on manual fixes.
- Technical Skills: Advanced hands-on experience with CRMs (such as HubSpot) and tracking tools (GA4, GTM, Looker Studio).
- Languages: Fluent German (C2 standard) to target the DACH region effectively, alongside strong business English.
- Remote Work Competency: Proven ability to work autonomously and manage responsibilities independently in a fully remote setup.
- Travel Willingness: Ability to attend two multi-day company offsites per year (2–3 days each).
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience managing campaigns directly on the Shopify App Store.
- Background in product marketing, lifecycle retention, or customer expansion.
- Previous experience managing small teams or a demonstrated readiness to step into leadership.
