Are you an experienced accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys digging into the details of capital projects, fixed assets, and financial reporting? We are seeking a CapEx Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting a large public company. This is a fully remote opportunity where you'll play a key role in managing capital expenditures, maintaining fixed asset integrity, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries.

💼 What You'll Be Doing

  • Review and process a high volume of CapEx and Construction-in-Progress (CIP) invoices
  • Apply accounting judgment to determine capitalization vs. operating expense treatment
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis related to CapEx activities
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial analyses
  • Manage accounting activities in NetSuite across multiple subsidiaries
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets and create reporting schedules
  • Partner with operational and finance teams to support project accounting and job costing
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with public-company controls and reporting standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies

✅ What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility
  • Strong background in CapEx accounting and fixed assets
  • Experience reviewing high-volume CapEx and CIP invoices
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience
  • Month-end close experience including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Experience working within a large public company environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting

  • Job costing or project accounting experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or capital-intensive projects
  • Data center industry experience is a plus but not required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
