Role Overview:
We are seeking an AI-first Full Stack Engineer to build across the AEM stack, from frontend components through to backend services, while working closely with senior engineers and architects. This role requires current, hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent) as a normal part of daily work, not as an occasional add-on, and the ability to explain and defend any AI-generated code before it reaches a pull request.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use AI coding tools as your default way of working across code, tests, and documentation, reviewing and testing everything before it goes into a pull request
- Build and maintain AEM Sites components, templates, and Sling Models under the guidance of senior engineers
- Configure and support AEM Assets, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) workflows
- Develop backend services in Java (Spring, REST APIs), contributing to integration work with enterprise systems
- Build componentised frontend experiences using React JS or an equivalent framework, applying WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidance
- Work to Git branching and pull request standards, taking part in code review as both author and reviewer
- Resolve CI/CD build failures and quality gate issues rather than handing them on
- Write and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Take ownership of features within a sprint, escalating design questions to senior engineers or architects
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 4–6+ years in full stack software engineering, with at least 2 years on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Demonstrated, current use of AI coding assistants (Claude/Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent) across code, tests, and documentation, with the ability to explain and defend AI-generated code you commit
- AEM Sites component and template development: Sling Models, HTL/Sightly, client libraries, OSGi services
- Hands-on experience with AEM Assets, including DAM workflows and metadata basics
- Strong core Java (Java 8+), Spring, and RESTful API design
- React JS or an equivalent modern frontend framework; component-driven development; working awareness of WCAG 2.1 AA
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for automated testing
- Experience working in Agile teams with active participation in Scrum ceremonies
- Good written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams
- Nice to have: exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), Content Fragments/GraphQL, Edge Delivery Services, CRM integrations (Salesforce/Dynamics), Adobe Analytics, or an Adobe Certification
