You will manage the full shipper lifecycle, including prospecting, quoting, and coordinating freight deliveries. Additionally, you will negotiate rates with customers and carriers while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
This is a fully remote Freight Broker role at an early-stage AI and supply chain technology company serving US manufacturers. You will own the full shipper lifecycle, from prospecting and quoting through delivery coordination, and play a key part in scaling a shipper-focused brokerage business.
Prospect and win new shipper accounts through targeted outreach and relationship building.
Understand each customer's freight lanes, volumes, service requirements, and pricing expectations.
Quote freight competitively, negotiate rates with customers and carriers, and secure shipments.
Coordinate with carrier operations to arrange capacity and ensure reliable service delivery.
Maintain regular communication with customers and resolve issues promptly.
Identify and pursue additional freight opportunities within existing accounts to drive growth.
3 or more years of hands-on experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or carrier sales.
Demonstrated track record of closing freight or logistics sales deals with shippers or carriers.
Experience quoting freight rates and negotiating pricing with customers and carriers.
Proven ability to prospect and acquire new customer accounts in a sales environment.
Experience managing customer relationships through the full transaction lifecycle, including booking, coordination, and delivery.
Experience coordinating with operations teams to arrange capacity and manage service delivery.
Experience identifying and upselling additional services or freight opportunities within existing accounts.
Familiarity with freight brokerage software or transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
Knowledge of freight lanes, carrier networks, or logistics market dynamics is a plus.
Background at an established freight brokerage firm is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline in a remote setting.
Compensation: $65,000 to $300,000 annually (70% commission split structure)
