Most finance internships in Portugal are an education in one spreadsheet. You reconcile the same accounts for six months, you never see how the number got there, and nobody tells you why it matters. This role exists because we run finance for three countries and a growing client base with a small team, and we want someone who will grow into real ownership of it.

🚀 What You'll Be Working

• Supporting the monthly and quarterly close, then building the reporting packs that show how Portugal, Spain, and Italy are actually performing;
• Owning recurring reporting over time, including KPI dashboards, cash position, and revenue by market;
• Working on the forecast and the annual budget: helping build them, then tracking actuals against plan and explaining the variances;
• Digging into financial data to spot trends, margin leaks, and anomalies, then bringing them to management in plain language;
• Working alongside our accounting team to keep us compliant with local financial regulations and with our own internal policies;
• Preparing documentation and reports for audits, due diligence, and client-facing financial requests, with guidance at first and increasing autonomy over time.

💡 Who You Are

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field;
• Based in Portugal, under 35 years of age, and eligible for the +Talento IEFP program;
• You are fluent in Portuguese and English, written and spoken, and can explain a number to someone who is not a finance person;
• You are genuinely comfortable in Google Sheets: lookups, pivots, clean model structure, and formulas someone else can follow up;
• You are rigorous. You tie things out, you check twice, and you would rather flag a discrepancy early than have it surface in a client meeting;
• You do not need someone to follow up with you twice. You manage your own workload;
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and can make reasonable judgment calls;
• You see AI and automation as tools that make your work sharper and faster, not as threats;
• Bonus points for international experience, personal or professional, and for any familiarity with Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian financial and tax rules.
