Field Service Engineer 1 - DCS (Remote - NC, VA, TN)

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex and advanced Honeywell control systems including EXPERION PKS and TPS/TDC3000. You will validate customer requests, develop and maintain customer relationships, plan and execute upgrades and migrations, all while ensuring Right and Fast Delivery.

 

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager while working Remotely out of Charlotte, NC, Nashville/Kingsport/Chattanooga, TN, or anywhere in Virginia with up to 80% travel to customer sites, requiring being away from home up to 2 weeks at a time.

 

In this role, you will impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence by providing expert technical support and service on Honeywell control systems, ensuring uninterrupted industrial processes and driving successful technology migrations and upgrades.

Responsibilities

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Periodic communication with customers regarding technical and administrative issues
• Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues and enquiries
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware/software issues including Experion PKS and other DCS hardware/software such as LCN & TPS
• Upgrade Experion software from one release to another on live control systems without causing interruption to customer’s industrial process
• Migrate legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywell’s new technology offerings
• Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations
• Assist Sales during sales pursuits and represent Honeywell to end-users
• Learn the end-to-end product/solution development, delivery, and execution of Honeywell products and solutions
• Use technical expertise in sophisticated Honeywell solutions and product offerings to improve customer experience

Qualifications

 

YOU MUST HAVE

• 4 years of professional experience in a related field such as field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience, development and/or reliability engineering
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time – up to 2 weeks away from home at once (VA, NC, TN)
• Ability to obtain multiple L3 certifications within 18 months

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
• Experience in upgrading and migrating legacy control systems to new technology platforms without disrupting industrial processes
• Experience with control systems and Industrial IT environments
• Software configuration, migration experience, project engineering experience, virtualization, cyber process control, electrical, or other relevant application experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
• Self-reliance and the ability to learn independently

 

 

BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL

The annual base salary range for this position in locations where pay transparency disclosures are required, including California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington, is $60,000 - $76,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Actual compensation offered may vary based on these factors.
