Build a practice that fits your life!

Bring your clinical expertise to a mission-driven organization while maintaining meaningful control over your schedule.

Making Opportunity Count (MOC) is seeking fee-for-service clinicians to provide high-quality outpatient behavioral health care to children, adults, couples, families, and groups. This role offers strong hourly compensation, remote-work flexibility, a welcoming and collaborative environment, and opportunities to grow your skills and career.

A mission with measurable impact.

MOC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families achieve economic security by eliminating barriers and creating opportunities. Our services span behavioral health, childcare, education, workforce development, nutrition, health, housing, and community support.

Why clinicians choose MOC

  • High fee-for-service rates, with separate compensation tiers for supervised master’s-level and independently licensed clinicians.
  • Flexible scheduling and remote-work options, while providing services to clients based in Massachusetts.
  • Clinical supervision and a supportive pathway toward independent licensure for eligible master’s-level clinicians.
  • Growth opportunities through consultation, training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exposure to diverse programs and client populations.
  • A welcoming workplace committed to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered care.
  • Student loan support with real results! As a qualifying nonprofit employer, MOC supports employees pursuing Public Service Loan Forgiveness through a company paid student loan assistance service. To date, more than $4 million in student loan debt has been forgiven for MOC employees through applicable forgiveness programs.

*Student loan forgiveness is governed by federal program requirements, including qualifying employment and hours. Participation in MOC’s support service does not guarantee forgiveness.

What you will do

  • Provide outpatient behavioral health counseling through individual, family, couples, and/or group psychotherapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Serve diverse client populations, including children and adults, according to your competencies and assigned caseload.
  • Deliver telehealth services from a private, professional setting and maintain the technology needed for secure virtual care.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation within required timeframes to support quality care, compliance, and billing.
  • Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, community partners, and MOC colleagues.
  • Collaborate with program leadership and multidisciplinary teams on interventions, consultations, client needs, crisis response, and positive outcomes.
  • Participate, as applicable, in clinical supervision, peer consultation, utilization review, quality assurance, training, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Follow all ethical standards, licensing and supervision requirements, accreditation standards, privacy obligations, and organizational policies.

Who we are looking for

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related clinical field.
  • Knowledge of a range of clinical presentations and experience serving diverse client populations.
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort providing telehealth services and using an electronic health record.
  • Scheduling flexibility sufficient to meet client demand and participate in necessary consultation, supervision, and interdisciplinary activities.
  • Ability to provide services legally and ethically to Massachusetts-based clients, including maintaining any authorization required in Massachusetts and in the jurisdiction from which you practice.

Independently licensed Clinician, $45.00–$46.00 per hour. Current Massachusetts independent clinical licensure in an eligible discipline, such as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT. Candidates must remain in good standing and practice within the scope of their license.

Supervised Master’s Level Clinician, $42.00–$43.00 per hour. Actively pursuing independent Massachusetts licensure and maintaining timely progress toward required supervised clinical hours, supervision, examinations, and all other requirements of the applicable licensing board. Practice must remain within the scope permitted by law and under the supervision of an appropriately licensed clinician.

Work arrangement and physical requirements

  • This position may be performed remotely, but all assigned clients will be based in Massachusetts.
  • Remote clinicians must maintain a confidential workspace, reliable internet access, and appropriate technology for secure telehealth services.
  • The role regularly involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods and may require lifting up to 15 pounds.
