Engineering Director - Cloud Transformation

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Director who can combine deep cloud expertise with strong commercial instincts.

This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who can engage with executives, understand their business challenges, shape compelling cloud strategies and solutions, and ultimately help us win.

What you’ll do

• Win business by shaping differentiated cloud solutions that deliver clear client value.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming a strategic advisor on cloud and technology transformation.
• Understand client business goals and translate them into practical cloud strategies, roadmaps and architectures.
• Lead the design of secure, scalable public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
• Shape cloud transformation, migration and modernisation strategies across complex enterprise environments.
• Work across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, selecting the right technologies and services for each client.
• Bring together cloud, infrastructure, networking, security and application requirements into a compelling end-to-end solution.
• Support sales pursuits with solution strategy, presentations, workshops, cost models and executive-level storytelling.
• Identify opportunities to create new revenue, improve client outcomes and strengthen margins.
• Collaborate across sales, delivery, architecture and partner teams to turn ideas into solutions that can be delivered successfully.
• Stay ahead of cloud market developments, competitors and emerging technologies.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

What we’re looking for

• Significant experience in cloud architecture, consulting or technology leadership, ideally within complex enterprise or public-sector environments.
• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud, including IaaS and PaaS.
• Proven experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud migration, modernisation, networking, security, governance and cost optimisation.
• Experience shaping cloud solutions as part of major sales pursuits and transformation programmes.
• Commercial awareness, including cloud costing, solution economics and the ability to articulate business value.
• Confidence working with C-level executives and translating complex technology into clear business outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of the cloud competitive landscape and major technology partners.
• An engaging communicator who can lead workshops, challenge thinking and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree, relevant cloud certifications or equivalent industry experience.

You’ll be someone who is commercial, curious and credible. You know cloud technology, but you also understand that great architecture alone doesn’t win deals. You can uncover the real client problem, challenge existing thinking and turn technology into a compelling business proposition.
