Engagement Manager - IT/Data (Pharma/Life Sciences Industry REQUIRED)

Engagement Manager (Client Transition Manager) | 100 % Remote (EST)

Position Summary

The Engagement Manager serves as the primary point of coordination for client transition initiatives involving enterprise data, reporting, analytics, and technology solutions. This individual is responsible for driving successful implementation efforts, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting organizational change, and ensuring clients successfully adopt new products, services, or data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Transition Leadership

·      Lead client transition and implementation activities from planning through completion.

·      Develop and execute transition plans, timelines, and communication strategies.

·      Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and open action items.

·      Ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of new solutions and services.

Cross-Functional Leadership

·      Partner with Product, Project Management, Operations, Commercial, ClientServices, Development, and Business teams.

·      Coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure successful execution.

·      Provide recommendations regarding implementation strategy, adoption planning, operational readiness, and process alignment.

·      Serve as the central point of communication across business and technical stakeholders.

Issue Resolution & Risk Management

·      Identify, track, and resolve complex client issues and operational challenges.

·      Coordinate escalation management across internal teams.

·      Drive timely resolution of risks, blockers, and implementation concerns.

·      Maintain accountability for issue ownership through closure.

Client Relationship Management

·      Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and executive sponsors.

·      Act as the primary contact throughout the implementation and adoption lifecycle.

·      Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and next steps.

·      Ensure a positive client experience and successful long-term partnership.

Change Management & Adoption

·      Identify barriers to adoption and organizational readiness.

·      Align internal and external stakeholders throughout transition efforts.

·      Support business process changes associated with new tools, platforms, or services.

·      Drive user adoption through communication, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Process Improvement

·      Identify opportunities to improve implementation, onboarding, and transition processes.

·      Document lessons learned and best practices.

·      Create repeatable frameworks, templates, and operational procedures.

·      Recommend efficiencies that enhance both client experience and internal execution.

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

·      5-8+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

o  Engagement Management

o  Client Success

o  Project Management

o  Program Management

o  Consulting

o  Change Management

o  Delivery Management

o  Account Management

o  Business Transformation

·      Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

·      Experience managing multiple projects, workstreams, and priorities simultaneously.

·      Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

·      Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·      Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience operating within highly matrixed organizations.

·      Strong business acumen and client-facing consulting experience.

·      Experience leading enterprise implementations, onboarding initiatives, or transformation programs.

·      Experience with reporting, analytics, data products, or technology solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
