Our client is a growing B2B organization focused on strengthening its digital marketing engine through email marketing, automation, audience segmentation, and content-driven campaigns. As the company continues to expand its marketing efforts, they are seeking an experienced Email & CRM Marketing Automation Specialist to improve customer and prospect engagement, develop scalable marketing workflows, and use performance data to continuously optimize campaigns.

Role Overview

The Email & CRM Marketing Automation Specialist will manage and optimize email marketing initiatives, marketing automation workflows, audience segmentation, and content-driven campaigns.

This role will be responsible for building email campaigns, developing targeted segments, creating and improving automated customer journeys, conducting A/B testing, analyzing campaign performance, and supporting blog and content marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has hands-on B2B email marketing experience, understands lifecycle marketing and lead nurturing, and combines strong writing skills with a data-driven testing mindset. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, comfortable working independently, and consistently looks for opportunities to improve campaign performance and marketing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing Campaign Management

  • Build, execute, and manage email marketing campaigns from planning through deployment and reporting.

  • Create and maintain email workflows, campaigns, and templates using platforms such as Flodesk or similar email marketing tools.

  • Develop targeted audience segments based on customer behavior, engagement, lifecycle stage, and business objectives.

  • Manage email lists and ensure audiences receive relevant and personalized communications.

  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements based on results.

  • Maintain consistent quality and brand standards across email communications.

Marketing Automation & Workflows

  • Build and manage automated marketing workflows designed to improve lead nurturing and customer engagement.

  • Set up and optimize automation sequences using tools such as ManyChat.

  • Create customer journeys that support prospects throughout different stages of the marketing funnel.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive marketing processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve automation workflows based on engagement and conversion data.

A/B Testing & Analytics

  • Develop and execute A/B tests across email campaigns and other marketing initiatives.

  • Test campaign elements such as subject lines, messaging, calls-to-action, segmentation, and send timing.

  • Monitor key performance indicators, including open rates, click-through rates, engagement, and conversion performance.

  • Analyze campaign and audience data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.

  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations for future campaigns.

  • Maintain organized reporting on campaign tests, results, and key learnings.

Content Marketing & Blog Management

  • Support blog content creation, editing, optimization, and publishing.

  • Develop content that supports audience growth, engagement, and broader business objectives.

  • Generate content ideas based on audience needs and marketing priorities.

  • Repurpose blog content into email campaigns and other marketing channels.

  • Ensure written content remains consistent with established brand voice and messaging.

  • Coordinate email and content initiatives to create a cohesive customer and prospect experience.

Creative Support & Design

  • Create and edit simple marketing assets using Canva.

  • Support email and content design needs with visually engaging, brand-aligned creative.

  • Ensure marketing materials maintain consistent branding and presentation.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on creative concepts, campaigns, and supporting assets.

Audience Growth & Optimization

  • Analyze audience behavior to identify opportunities to increase engagement and conversion.

  • Support B2B lead nurturing strategies through email and marketing automation.

  • Maintain clean, accurate, and organized subscriber lists and audience segments.

  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign relevance through stronger segmentation and personalization.

  • Recommend improvements designed to strengthen overall campaign effectiveness and customer engagement.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing automation, or a related marketing role.

  • B2B marketing experience is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience managing email campaigns from creation through deployment, testing, optimization, and reporting.

  • Experience building and managing marketing automation workflows and lead-nurturing journeys.

  • Experience developing audience segments based on engagement, behavior, or lifecycle criteria.

  • Experience supporting content marketing initiatives, including blog content.

  • Experience conducting A/B tests and using performance data to optimize campaigns.

Skills

  • Strong email marketing skills with the ability to independently build, execute, analyze, and optimize campaigns.

  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Flodesk, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar tools.

  • Experience using marketing automation and conversational marketing tools such as ManyChat.

  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, lead nurturing, and automated customer journeys.

  • Ability to design structured A/B tests and translate results into practical campaign improvements.

  • Strong understanding of email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, engagement, and conversions.

  • Strong copywriting, editing, and content development skills with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.

  • Comfortable creating simple, polished marketing assets using Canva.

  • Ability to interpret audience and campaign data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, workflows, content initiatives, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently, proactively identify opportunities, and continuously improve existing marketing processes.
