As a key member of the Av parts team, the Director of Sales, Business Development and Acquisitions, AVPARTS will report to the VP, AVPARTS, and will be responsible for overseeing all administrative and technical activities for the operations of Av parts division. The role establishes vision, resource allocation, strategies, and business plans to ensure the efficient operations of the division, while streamlining processes and containing costs.

  • Design and implement business strategies and plans for growth.
  • Participate in expansion activities to grow the business.
  • Develop Programs and expand globally.
  • Develop and recommend internal processes to define product and/or services strategies, plans and priorities.
  • Ensure proposal efforts in conjunction with management and colleagues are appropriate to address client needs are met for complex new business opportunities.
  • Develop needs analysis, feasibility studies, and other related documents to effectively evaluate possible new lines of business.
  • Identify and introduce key decision makers in target organizations to our products and maintain relationships with them.
  • Research, develop and recommend best practices, processes & strategies for the discovery of new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales activity and market conditions and adjust the business development strategy as appropriate. Monitor the status of business development projects.
  • Create a formal, annual sales plan that includes yearly sales targets. Monitor and report progress of this plan monthly.
  • Identify and acquire aircraft for part outs and inventory for sales and Programs.
  • Project manage the part out aircraft for efficient execution.
  • Negotiate and Execute Agreements: Lead negotiations and contract discussions to establish mutually beneficial partnerships. Draft and finalize agreements to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Report on actual sales to budget monthly.
  • Ongoing surveillance of spending to ensure they align with budget requirements.
  • Identify and acquire aircraft for part outs and inventory for sales and Programs. Set goals for performance and develop KPIs and dashboards to drive growth and CQI.
  • Develop yearly budgets to ensure growth and maximum returns.
  • Develop and recommend internal processes to define product and/or services strategies, plans and priorities.
  • Monitor and determine life cycles and profitability management for the organization.
  • Ensure internal processes are aligned to the corporate requirements.
  • Ensure company documentation is updated to reflect changes and employees are trained in those changes.
  • Evaluate performance by interpreting data and make necessary adjustments when necessary.
  • Develop plans and strategies and governance through business analytics.
  • Identify where improvement can be made and develop success-driven plans.
  • Develop and maintain forecasts for inventory to support sales targets and program support.
  • Lead and mentor employees to achieve maximum performance and dedication through ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure necessary training is provided to employees to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborate weekly with management to increase productivity.

 Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales and Business Development field; 5 of which must be in management role.
  • Experience executing corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Experience Building strategic working relationships.
  • Proven leadership experience, ability to lead a team and continuous improvement of the department work scope.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, solid ethical standards, and trustworthiness.
  • Teamwork – must be able to work effectively with the safety team, other Voyageur stakeholders, and Chorus entities.
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance practices and ability to mentor team members in such processes.
  • Proven client service management and business growth strategies.
  • Experience managing various budgets.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit), provide a clear Criminal Background Check, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this position.
