AI Summary

The Director of Sales will build and manage a sales pipeline to acquire new holiday park customers for the booking engine platform. This role involves owning the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial prospecting and product demonstrations to final negotiation and closing.

Our mission at Roomstay is to provide travel companies like independent hotels, motels and holiday parks with the technology that can let them compete with larger online travel agents to sell their own products (rooms and sites) themselves.

We are looking for a proactive, tech-savvy professional who is eager to apply their extensive knowledge of the holiday park industry and sales skills to drive our new phase of growth.

Where And How You Can Work

We are HQ’d in Sydney, but have a global workforce and permanent full-time staff in both Australia and New Zealand. You can choose where you work, but we would like this role to be in the ANZ timezone and within reasonable access to an international airport for travel as required.

About the Role

RoomStay is an Australian-made direct booking engine platform supporting independent hotels, resorts and holiday parks across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand and the US.

As we grow our holiday park segment, we’re looking for a Director of Sales – Holiday Parks who loves opening doors, building their own pipeline and winning new business.

This is a hands-on sales role with ownership of the sales cycle, from first conversation through to close. Working with our global team, you’ll win new holiday park customers for our booking engine platform and associated services, helping operators drive more direct bookings across cabins, caravan sites and camping accommodation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and manage your own pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals and industry partnerships.

  • Own the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation and closing.

  • Build relationships with holiday park owners, operators and group decision-makers, understanding their challenges and showing how RoomStay can help.

  • Develop connections with park management system providers, industry partners and associations to generate new opportunities.

  • Deliver against sales targets, keeping your pipeline and forecasts accurate and up to date.

  • Work closely with our product and customer success teams to share market insights and ensure a smooth handover for new customers.

What You’ll Bring

  • A proven track record of winning new business, ideally selling digital marketing, technology or SaaS solutions into holiday parks or the wider accommodation industry.

  • Strong knowledge of the holiday park sector and the commercial challenges facing independent operators and park groups.

  • The drive and initiative to create your own opportunities and turn them into revenue.

  • Confidence demonstrating technology and translating product capabilities into clear business benefits.

  • Digital marketing experience, particularly with SEO, SEM and Meta experience

  • Strong relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.

  • The ability to work independently within a remote, global team.

  • An existing network of holiday park owners, operators and technology partners would be a strong advantage.

What We Offer

  • A competitive base salary plus commission and accelerators that reward strong performance.

  • The opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing Australian business.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • A supportive, collaborative and innovative team.

  • Flexibility to work remotely within the ANZ timezone.

Ready to help more holiday parks grow their direct bookings?

If you know the holiday park industry, enjoy selling technology and love the challenge of winning new business, we’d love to hear from you.
