AI Summary

The Director of Marketing will build and lead the entire marketing function from the ground up, including strategy, execution, and team development. They will manage marketing budgets, drive demand generation, and oversee product marketing, events, and content strategy to support both B2B and investor-facing audiences.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be the first dedicated marketer at a profitable, post-product-market-fit fintech company — reporting directly to the CEO and building the entire marketing function from scratch. The company operates in the construction lending space, combining expert-verified virtual inspections with draw management software to turn what's traditionally a multi-day, manual process into a same-day experience for private lenders, real estate investors, flippers, and small builders.

The business is real: billions of dollars in draws processed, tens of thousands of projects managed, and a meaningful share of the top private lenders in the US on the platform — all while remaining profitable. The team is 100% US-based, distributed across four time zones, with core hours skewing Mountain to Pacific.

If you've ever wanted to put your fingerprints on an entire company's go-to-market and build a real flywheel, this is that job.

What You'll Do

  • Own and build the entire marketing function — strategy, execution, and team — from the ground up

  • Lead event marketing: trade shows, local happy hours, and speaking events across multiple US cities

  • Develop and execute social media and content strategy across both B2B and investor-facing audiences

  • Build out influencer and referral network programs targeting real estate investors, flippers, and builders

  • Drive database and lifecycle marketing to nurture prospects and expand existing accounts

  • Own product marketing: positioning, messaging, and go-to-market campaigns for platform features

  • Market to two distinct audiences: private lenders and institutional credit on one side, and real estate investors, flippers, and small builders on the other

  • Partner closely with sales — joining calls and attending trade shows early on to deeply understand personas and the relationship-driven dynamics of the real estate industry

  • Own the marketing budget: planning, forecasting, and ROI attribution

  • Build and maintain marketing dashboards and performance metrics to inform strategy

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience in software and/or services, ideally in fintech or fintech-adjacent industries (e.g. construction tech, real estate tech, lending)

  • Proven track record in full-funnel demand generation: content, events, and pipeline development

  • Hands-on experience with social media, influencer, and referral marketing programs

  • Experience creating and managing events — both large trade shows and smaller community-style events

  • Strong brand development and messaging skills for complex fintech products

  • Data-driven mindset: experience building dashboards, measuring ROI, and attributing pipeline to marketing activities

  • Proficiency with marketing technology stacks — CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce), analytics platforms

  • Budget ownership experience: planning, forecasting, and managing marketing spend

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — ability to partner tightly with sales, product, and customer success

  • Startup or small-company background where you wore multiple hats and built things from scratch

  • Able to operate across US time zones; must be US-based

Nice to Have:

  • Background in real estate, construction lending, or private credit markets

  • Experience marketing to both institutional and SMB audiences simultaneously

  • Prior experience as a first or early marketing hire

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Location

This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in the United States. The team operates across all four US time zones, with core collaboration hours skewing Mountain to Pacific time. Major metro hubs where team members are based include Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other US cities.
