About RoboStrategy

RoboStrategy (Nasdaq: BOT) is on a mission to become the leading public investment vehicle for robotics. We provide investors with access to what we believe are the most transformative companies in robotics, many of which remain private and inaccessible through traditional public markets. RoboStrategy offers strategic, actively managed exposure to the long-term leaders of the category.

RoboStrategy is managed by FP Strategies, its investment advisor. This position is employed by FP Strategies.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Institutional Sales to lead capital raising for RoboStrategy across institutional and private wealth channels. This is a senior mandate: you will lead the build-out of the firm’s distribution function and define how RoboStrategy engages institutional allocators, family offices, RIAs, and independent broker-dealer advisor teams.

The role is a raising mandate from the outset. We are looking for a professional who has held this responsibility at another fund, brings established, current relationships across the relevant channels, and can be in front of allocators within their first weeks. You will convert the firm’s existing founder-led investor dialogue into a disciplined, repeatable capital-raising process, and own that process end to end.

RoboStrategy trades on Nasdaq, so the investors you cover can allocate as soon as their diligence is complete; there is no subscription cycle between conviction and capital. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), work closely with the CEO and COO, and play a central role in scaling the distribution function as the platform grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead capital raising. Activate your existing network of allocators immediately, while building and managing a named-account coverage plan across family offices, multi-family offices, institutional investors, RIAs, and IBD advisor teams.

  • Own the full cycle. Manage every stage from initial meeting to allocation: qualification, follow-up processes, portfolio-manager access, and closing.

  • Establish the diligence infrastructure. Build and maintain the materials institutional allocators require, including DDQs, presentations, data requests, and RFP responses.

  • Cover RIA investment committees. Run structured evaluation processes with the investment committees of large RIAs and aggregators, where a single approval can direct allocations across many client portfolios.

  • Initiate platform relationships. Open and manage early conversations with broker-dealer home offices and platform gatekeepers, establishing the groundwork for future approved-list and model placements.

  • Operate compliantly. Work closely with legal and compliance on communications involving a listed security, including MNPI and wall-crossing protocols for institutional conversations.

  • Inform strategy. Relay allocator feedback, objections, and competitive intelligence to senior leadership to sharpen positioning and product strategy.

Core Qualifications

  • A proven, verifiable record of raising capital for investment funds, with specific outcomes you can speak to: assets raised, the channels they came through, and the role you played.

  • Distribution experience at a fund is required. Experience raising for publicly listed funds (ETFs, closed-end funds, listed trusts) is strongly preferred; candidates from private funds with directly transferable allocator relationships will also be considered.

  • Established, current relationships across the RIA and private wealth channels, including family offices, multi-family offices, RIA aggregators, and IBD advisor teams, that can be engaged from the start of the mandate.

  • 7+ years in capital raising or distribution at an asset manager or fund platform.

  • Fluency in how allocators evaluate managers: diligence processes, investment committees, portfolio construction, and fee dynamics.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to represent a thematic, research-driven strategy to sophisticated investors.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain promptly); CFA or CIMA a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Has scaled a fund’s assets before and understands what the progression from launch to multi-billion AUM requires.

  • Effective building process and infrastructure where none exists, and comfortable being measured on flows.

  • Genuine conviction in robotics and frontier technology, with the ability to articulate a long-term thematic thesis in depth.

  • High judgment and discretion with sensitive information in a regulated, publicly listed context.

  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and arrives with an actionable pipeline.

  • Proficient with modern AI tools to extend research, preparation, and coverage capacity.
