THE OPPORTUNITY

Cyera is the AI trust infrastructure a growing share of the Fortune 1000 now relies on to secure their most sensitive data, and that momentum means our leadership, our alliances, and our research have more to say to the market than ever before. We're hiring a Director of Communications to help shape and scale communications, partnering closely with our executive bench, overseeing how we show up externally, and other organizational leaders to develop differentiated messaging, plans, and programs that resonate with our priority audiences and elevate Cyera’s position in the market. This is a senior-level role for someone who has run executive communications inside a high-growth tech company and has the instinct to turn a good story into one the industry can't stop talking about.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive Communications

• Shape the external voice of Cyera's C-Suite across contributed content, LinkedIn, keynotes, panels, and press interviews.
• Prep executives for high-stakes moments (read: analyst briefings, media interviews, industry keynotes, rapid response opportunities) with key messaging, Q&A prep, and rehearsal.
• Build narrative and talking points for major company moments: funding milestones, product launches, leadership changes, and industry inflection points.
• Act as a trusted advisor on when and how leaders should show up publicly. 

Cyera Research & Data Storytelling

• Act as the primary external comms partner to Cyera Research, translating proprietary data and threat findings into narratives that establish Cyera's authority on data risk and AI security.
• Lead launch strategy from start to finish for flagship research reports and data-driven publications, owning narrative, timing, and media rollout. 
• Make complex data findings accessible without diluting their rigor, working closely with Research, Analyst Relations, and Product Marketing to keep messaging consistent across audiences.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10-12 years in corporate or executive communications, ideally at a high-growth tech, data, or enterprise SaaS company.
• Proven track record ghostwriting for and advising C-suite executives with strong examples of bylines, talking points, or keynote content you've shaped.
• Experience translating technical or data-heavy findings (research reports, product telemetry, industry data) into clear, external narratives.
• History of partnering with GTM functions (alliances, customer marketing, product marketing) without absorbing their programs; you shape the story, not the underlying relationship.
• Strong writer and editor, comfortable moving between a keynote script, a press release, and a LinkedIn post in the same day.
• Sound judgment on when an executive should speak publicly and when they shouldn't; solid issues and rapid-response instincts.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, generalist-heavy role.
• Nice to have: existing relationships with cyber, tech, and/or AI media; experience with hyperscaler co-marketing motions.



COMPENSATION INFORMATION: 

Compensation Range: $185,000-230,000.

This compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera’s business and other operational considerations.

Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.

This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors. In addition to a standard benefits and equity package, we offer a generous salary. Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.
