Bright Horizons is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Lease Model Partnerships Expansion Director to lead the strategy, development, and expansion of lease-based growth opportunities across our School Age brands. In this highly visible leadership role, you will identify and cultivate partnerships with school districts, universities, municipalities, recreational organizations, and other facility providers, creating innovative pathways for growth in both established and emerging markets.

By leveraging your expertise in business development, relationship management, and market expansion, you will help drive long-term business success while increasing access to high-quality programs for children and families. The Director develops and implements innovative market penetration strategies, establishes standards and processes for lease model expansion, and influences investment decisions that support long-term growth across multiple School Age businesses.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence organizational growth strategy, lead a high-performing business development team, and collaborate with senior leaders across the enterprise to bring new opportunities from concept to execution.

This is a Remote position available in the United States.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Builds compelling value propositions and partnership strategies that successfully influence educational administrators, facility owners, and organizational leaders to participate in lease partnerships despite competing alternatives and limited financial incentives.

  • Develop and execute a multi-year lease model growth strategy designed to expand the School Age footprint, increase market penetration, and achieve long-term business growth objectives across multiple brands.

  • Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships with educational institutions, universities, municipalities, recreational organizations, and other facility providers through consultative relationship management and complex negotiations.

  • Lead cross-functional senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Client Relations, and School Age business units to evaluate, prioritize, and execute expansion opportunities.

  • Partner closely with Operations leadership throughout the site evaluation process to assess program viability, facility suitability, operational risks, and long-term scalability. Drive identification and qualification of opportunities while collaborating with Operations leaders who maintain final authority regarding operational feasibility and site selection decisions.

  • Develop innovative approaches to identify and access nontraditional facility opportunities and emerging market segments, creating new growth channels that support organizational expansion objectives.

  • Design and implement standardized partnership development, site evaluation, and market expansion processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the organization.

  • Present market opportunities, investment recommendations, growth forecasts, and partnership strategies to senior leadership to support School Age/Back-up Care decision making.

  • Manages Outbound Business Development team

Job Requirements – Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

  • 10 years progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, client services, sales leadership, account management, or related fields - Required

Additional Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated success developing and managing complex external partnerships and influencing executive stakeholders.

  • Experience utilizing consultative selling techniques to establish mutually beneficial business relationships and secure long-term agreements.

  • Proven ability to identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and drive expansion initiatives from concept through execution.

  • Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives in highly matrixed organizations.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, including experience engaging senior decision makers and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

Compensation: 

The salary for this position is between $110,000  $148,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors. 

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus and RSUs.
