Position Summary:
The Digital Editor/Writer is responsible for strategically directing, creating and editing digital content for the Keck Medicine of USC's clinical audiences.
- This content consists of service overviews, treatment summaries, disease overviews, online ad campaigns and pages, email, search copy and other user-engaged copy.
- Because our primary focus is marketing, the applicant should be an expert at translating technical details into language that can be easily consumed by patients and visitors.
- The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day posting of approved content, develop and maintain audit calendars, communicate progress reports to stakeholders and directors, supervise writers, ensure sites meet usability and Section 508 requirements and validate that all new content is in compliance with legal and branding regulations for the Keck Medicine enterprise.
- Understanding of AP writing style. Ability to lead content interviews with clients to gain information for web content.
- Strong work ethic and ability to produce a high output of content.
- Ability to write quickly, clearly, and concisely for a variety of digital channels - web, social, search, ads.
- Understanding of basic digital writing principles.
- Understanding of SEO standard methodologies and principles.
- Experience using keyword research tools and Google Analytics.
Experience with content management systems to update content with a basic understanding of HTML.
