Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the strategic planning, enterprise data modeling, and high-level design of our global data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will establish overarching data governance frameworks, architect modern cloud data lakes and warehouses, and define how information flows seamlessly between operational systems and analytical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Architect high-level enterprise data strategies and blueprints, defining the structural roadmap for modern data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh implementations.
Design complex enterprise data models, constructing robust conceptual, logical, and physical dimensional designs (e.g., Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Vault) optimized for retrieval and storage efficiency.
Govern enterprise data integration and ingestion standards, establishing master data policies, metadata repositories, and real-time streaming architectures.
Define data privacy, security, and lifecycle retention policies, collaborating with compliance teams to enforce row/column masking, data anonymization, and GDPR/CCPA alignment.
Chair the Enterprise Data Governance Board, evaluating custom data pipeline designs, database schema modifications, and cross-platform data dependencies.
Optimize multi-source data storage costs and query performance, auditing storage paradigms, data partitioning rules, and compression strategies across cloud environments.
Provide strategic leadership to data engineers and BI specialists, managing cross-functional technical dependencies and aligning data models with corporate growth objectives.
Requirements
10+ years of total IT enterprise software or data management experience, with 5+ dedicated years acting as a Lead Data Architect on large-scale platforms.
Strong technical mastery of advanced data modeling methodologies, cloud storage arrays (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), ETL/ELT pipeline frameworks, and data governance standards.
Deep structural understanding of distributed computing boundaries, data latency limits, database engine internals, and enterprise master data schemas.
Mandatory certification: CDMP or active professional-level cloud data engineering credential (AWS/GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior implementation background managing large-scale migrations from legacy on-premise databases to cloud-native data architectures.
Strategic consulting experience advising executive leadership on enterprise data monetization, data quality improvement, and analytics roadmaps.
