Job Summary:

The Research Analyst (Participant Recruitment & Engagement Specialist) supports the Rural Health Transformation Program by conducting education and credential pathway analysis. The Analyst contributes to dashboards, tables, and analytic outputs, ensuring consistency in methods and findings. The position also maintains data dictionaries, validation logs, and supporting documentation to ensure analyses are transparent, reproducible, and audit-ready. Working closely with community colleges and education partners, the Analyst serves as a point of contact for clarifying program structures, credential requirements, and reporting conventions. The role supports the standardization of institutional data submissions and helps partners understand how their data inform statewide workforce and program evaluation efforts.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

• Conduct education and credential pathway analyses to support evaluation of training programs and workforce outcomes within the Rural Health Transformation Program.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, tables, and analytic outputs, ensuring consistency in methods, definitions, and reporting across deliverables.
• Perform data validation and quality assurance activities, including reviewing datasets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to analysis.
• Serve as a point of contact for partner inquiries related to data submissions, reporting requirements, and interpretation of analytic outputs.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, summaries, and appendices accompanying analytic products.
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure alignment between data processing, analysis, and reporting timelines.
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
• Data validation, cleaning, and reconciliation techniques.
• Descriptive statistics and cohort analysis.
• Google Cloud Platform and products.
• Workforce programs.

Skill in:
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational and documentation.
• Data analysis and visualization.
• Problem solving.
• Written and oral communication.

Ability to:
• Manage multiple datasets and meet reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with others, present complex analytic concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Use data analysis and management software such as Python, R, or SAS.

Selective Preference(s):

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Public Policy, Education Research, or related quantitative field required.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Minimum of one year experience performing analytic work.
