The Senior Manager will manage operating mechanisms for the Clinical leadership team, including planning cycles, priority reviews, and executive reporting. They will also oversee organizational workflows, budget planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Business Operations Senior Manager to join our Clinical Care Operations team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

The Senior Manager, CCHO Office Planning & Operations serves as an important operating partner within the Office of the Chief Health Officer, helping translate organizational priorities into planning and coordination. You will build and manage the operating mechanisms that allow the Clinical organization and its leadership team to work, including leadership cadences, priority and performance management, budget planning, and executive reporting.

The Senior Manager partners with the Chief Health Officer and Clinical leadership team to create visibility across priorities, identify dependencies and risks, facilitate decision-making, and lead accountability. You will collaborate cross-functionally and leverage data to help ensure we remain focused on our highest-priority work.

You will report into the Chief Health Officer.

Work Location: This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Dallas, Texas. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area. #LI-Remote

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is $134,136 - $176,054 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the operating schedule for the Clinical leadership team, including leadership meetings, planning cycles, priority reviews, and other forums that allow decision-making and accountability.
  • Develop the CHO Office mechanisms for tracking organizational priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions; anticipate critical leadership touchpoints.
  • Develop executive-level reporting that provides the Chief Health Officer and Clinical leadership team with visibility into organizational performance, priorities, and new risks.
  • You will manage annual and ongoing organizational planning processes for the Clinical leadership team, ensuring you translate established priorities into clear goals, measures of success, timelines, and assigned ownership.
  • Support administrative and financial planning for the Chief Health Officer organization, including budget planning, resource tracking, and coordination with Finance and other partners.
  • Lead select CHO Office and Clinical leadership team priorities, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, dependencies, and decisions across team members.
  • Improve organizational workflows, decision-making processes, and operating mechanisms to increase the effectiveness of the Clinical organization and leadership team.
  • Summarize complex information across teams and departments into clear recommendations and actions for senior leadership.
  • Build relationships across the Clinical organization and with partners to facilitate understanding, surface dependencies, and lead resolution of issues.
  • Develop and support direct reports, as applicable, and ensure that you support colleagues in their professional development.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in business operations, organizational planning, program management, or a related function.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-departmental work and partnering with senior leaders.
  • Experience developing frameworks in fluid environments, managing competing priorities, and driving end-to-end accountability.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal communication skills, and the ability to summarize complex information for senior leadership.

Bonus points:

  • Experience supporting an executive or leadership team in a complex, cross-departmental organization.
