The Business Operations Manager plays a critical role in advancing company priorities by translating strategic objectives into coordinated, executable programs across the organization. This individual serves as a central business operations partner to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, helping establish operating rhythms, drive accountability, improve organizational processes, and ensure the company’s highest-priority initiatives move from strategy to execution.

Because of their cross-functional perspective and ability to operate across multiple areas of the business, the Business Operations Manager will manage complex enterprise initiatives, oversee key company operating processes, and create the structure, visibility, and follow-through necessary to drive results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Management: Prioritize, define, organize, and drive end-to-end strategic programs, including goals, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, owners, and success measures. Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives spanning multiple departments and ensure resources remain focused on the programs generating the greatest strategic enterprise value.

  • OKR Program Management: Own and continuously improve the company-wide Objectives and Key Results (OKR) program. Partner with senior leaders and functional teams to establish meaningful objectives and measurable key results, facilitate planning and review cycles, monitor progress, identify areas of risk, and drive accountability for results.

  • Senior Leadership Team Operations: Manage the operating cadence and effectiveness of the Senior Leadership Team, including meeting planning, agenda development, preparation of materials, coordination of strategic topics, documentation of decisions and action items, and follow-through on commitments. Help ensure leadership discussions remain focused on the company’s most important priorities and translate into clear organizational action.

  • Strategic Initiative Execution: Partner with executive and functional leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans. Establish program objectives, milestones, dependencies, risks, ownership, and success metrics while maintaining visibility into progress and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the way the organization operates and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of scalable business processes, operating practices, templates, and management tools.

  • AI Tiger Team Operations: Serve as the business operations liaison to the company’s AI Tiger Team, helping coordinate initiatives, stakeholders, priorities, dependencies, decisions, and follow-through. Support the organization in moving high-value AI opportunities from exploration into disciplined execution and adoption.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Build strong relationships across departments and serve as a connective point between teams. Facilitate communication, clarify ownership and dependencies, identify potential gaps, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned around shared objectives and timelines.

  • Executive Visibility & Reporting: Develop clear, concise reporting that provides senior leaders with visibility into strategic initiatives, OKR performance, risks, decisions, and areas requiring leadership attention. Distill complex cross-functional information into actionable insights.

  • Program Planning & Risk Management: Develop comprehensive program plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resource requirements, dependencies, and success measures. Proactively identify risks and obstacles and coordinate mitigation strategies to protect program objectives.

  • Organizational Accountability: Establish mechanisms to track commitments, decisions, and deliverables across strategic initiatives. Proactively follow up with owners, surface areas where execution is at risk, and help teams maintain momentum against agreed-upon priorities.

  • Process Documentation: Establish and maintain documentation for critical company-wide and cross-functional business processes to create clarity, consistency, and organizational scalability.

  • Special Projects: Lead or support additional high-priority strategic and operational initiatives as organizational needs evolve.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Programs and Areas of Ownership

Initial areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

1. Company OKR Program

  • Manage annual and quarterly OKR planning and review cycles.

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop clear objectives and measurable key results.

  • Establish standards, templates, timelines, and governance for the OKR process.

  • Track progress and provide organization-wide visibility into performance.

  • Facilitate regular reviews and identify objectives that require intervention or leadership attention.

  • Continuously improve the effectiveness and adoption of the company’s OKR methodology.

2. Senior Leadership Team Operating Cadence

  • Coordinate Senior Leadership Team meetings and strategic operating rhythms.

  • Develop agendas in partnership with senior leadership.

  • Ensure appropriate materials, data, and decision points are prepared in advance.

  • Document decisions, commitments, owners, and deadlines.

  • Track action items and ensure appropriate follow-through between meetings.

  • Identify opportunities to improve leadership team effectiveness and decision-making.

3. AI Tiger Team

  • Serve as the primary business operations liaison supporting the AI Tiger Team.

  • Coordinate priorities, meetings, stakeholders, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between the Tiger Team and relevant business functions.

4. Enterprise Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead selected cross-functional initiatives identified as company priorities.

  • Establish clear plans, governance, ownership, and measurement.

  • Coordinate activities across functional teams.

  • Maintain visibility into progress, dependencies, risks, and decisions.

  • Drive programs through completion and evaluate outcomes against intended business results.

5. Business Process & Operating Infrastructure

  • Identify organizational processes requiring greater structure or scalability.

  • Facilitate development of company-wide and cross-functional processes.

  • Develop reusable program management and operating templates.

  • Document critical workflows, decision rights, ownership, and handoffs.

  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programs or business operations initiatives.

  • Strong project and program management capabilities with experience translating ambiguous strategic priorities into structured execution plans.

  • Experience working closely with senior executives and managing executive-level operating cadences, meetings, or strategic initiatives.

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to understand how initiatives connect to broader company priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without relying on direct authority.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into clear executive-level updates.

  • Analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and business context to inform decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify operational gaps and design practical, scalable processes.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve and where ambiguity requires sound judgment and initiative.

  • High degree of ownership, discretion, follow-through, and attention to detail.

  • Experience with OKRs, strategic planning, business operations, or executive operations strongly preferred.

  • Interest in emerging technologies and the practical application of AI within business operations is preferred.
