THE ROLE

The Business Analyst is a key member of the Concerts Business Systems BI team within Live Nation. This role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and implementing new data sets into business reporting and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.

This individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and partner with development teams to deliver scalable business intelligence solutions. Additionally, the Business Analyst will support testing, validation, and deployment activities to ensure final solutions meet business and customer expectations

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Develop clear, detailed, and complete user stories and business requirements for a variety of business and technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with SQL-literate stakeholders to interpret, validate, and refine data and reporting requirements to ensure accuracy and usability.
  • Research and analyze data across multiple business systems; map requirements to available data sources and collaborate with BI developers to ingest data into Databricks and enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, data services, and BI development teams to understand business impacts and support solution delivery.
  • Analyze data to identify key business questions, trends, dependencies, and actionable insights.
  • Evaluate and manage cross-functional and cross-system dependencies related to reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Create and maintain functional specifications, grooming documentation, and detailed technical requirements to support development and implementation efforts.
  • Collaborate with functional architects and development teams to deliver high-quality BI and data solutions.
  • Advise business users on alternative approaches or recommended solutions to address operational and reporting needs.
  • Perform system configuration and administrative support activities within SAP BusinessObjects and Tableau environments.
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of data quality issues and system defects across development and production environments.
  • Leverage business and technical expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business users regarding reporting capabilities, analytics solutions, and data best practices.
  • Maintain a high level of familiarity with upstream IT systems and business applications that provide data to the BI platform.
  • Coordinate and execute system testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring issues are tracked through resolution and business sign-off is achieved

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, Databricks, or comparable and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong technical proficiency in developing and executing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling/analysis.
  • 2–3 years of experience working within Agile development methodologies preferred.
  • Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Asana, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable business recommendations and well-defined product requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret ambiguous business requirements and convert them into clear, actionable specifications.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and think critically in fast-paced environments.
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable experimenting with new approaches and refining solutions based on data-driven insights and results.
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive initiatives forward.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work quickly, able to experiment and amend approach based on data analysis and results.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$80,000.00 USD - $100,000.00 USD
