The Business Development Rep-Technical Sales will work as part of a team, engaged in helping companies buy and sell pre-owned laboratory and life sciences equipment.
We are seeking a results-driven business development professional with a strong “hunter” mindset and proven capital equipment sales experience within the Biotech and Life Sciences industry. This individual will thrive in outbound prospecting, building relationships by phone, and converting company-generated leads into qualified opportunities and closed revenue.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives. • Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and business opportunities. • Engage in warm calling to establish relationships with prospective clients. • Utilize CRM for tracking sales activities, managing customer interactions, and reporting on performance metrics. • Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring client satisfaction. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions that meet client needs. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitive landscape. • Provide leadership within the sales team by mentoring junior staff and sharing best practices.
Requirements • Proven experience in business development or sales within Biotech and Life Sciences industry. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions and client needs. • Proficiency in using CRM software for managing sales processes. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly. • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and close sales successfully. • A proactive approach to building relationships with clients through warm calling techniques. • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and drive results within the sales department. • A passion for continuous learning and professional development in the field of sales.

Compensation and Benefits
• Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000/annually dependent on experience (Base plus commission) • Variable compensation plan based on company, team, and individual success against goals • Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health, dental, etc
