🧑💻 About the Role
As a Business Development Representative Intern (BDR) (8-month internship starting Fall 2026), you’ll help fuel Makeship’s growth by identifying and engaging new potential partners (creators, talent teams, and select brands), learning our outreach process, and supporting early pipeline development. This is a hands-on role for someone who practically lives online - plugged into gaming, trend cycles, and meme culture, and active in multiple creator fandoms. And who’s excited by creator ecosystems and relationship-driven business development.
You’ll work closely with the Partnerships team and cross-functional partners to help bring new collaborations to life.

You’ll build real-world skills in prospecting, outreach, and relationship-building while collaborating with creators, talent teams, and select brands, and seeing how partnerships turn into launches that fans care about.

We are looking for a BDR Intern who will play a key role in helping us identify and partner with content creators and brands that are ideal fits for Makeship’s core service offering, helping to drive our top-of-funnel business outreach.
An ideal candidate for this role is a passionate, self-aware, and self-motivated individual who spends their time watching their favourite content creators and keeping up with social media. Or, someone who loves spending time diving into the world of gaming, music, arts & animation, Roblox. As a BDR Intern, you’ll represent Makeship in creator conversations, identifying and reaching out to high-fit creators and inviting them to be part of our exclusive, limited-edition merch offering. You will also be joining one of Canada's fastest-growing start-up companies!

This position is compensated at an annualized salary of $40,000 CAD. As this is an 8-month co-op placement, the total compensation will be prorated based on the duration of the term.
