Position Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in driving new business growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing sales opportunities within target markets. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this individual will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients by converting leads into qualified opportunities for the sales team, and supporting revenue expansion through strategic outreach and relationship management.


This opportunity is best suited for individuals with a professional and driven attitude, adaptable and accountable mindset, and ability to handle outbound calls and sales communications to support the Sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Generating sales leads
  • Prepare pricing estimates for projects and submit written proposals to clients
  • Pre-qualify potential clients with appropriate questions to establish budget, timelines, and compatibility, prepare quotations and site installation meetings as required
  • Manage clients’ expectations by informing them of company processes, policies, and timelines
  • Update clients of business changes such as product offering, pricing, or assembly options
  • Use CRM to track Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts along with timelines
  • Participate in various departmental and interdepartmental meetings and trainings as required
  • Attend industry shows, conferences, events, etc. as required
  • Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in the construction/building materials industry, preferably withing powder coating & extrusion sectors
  • Strong business and sales acumen, including excellent business communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • An understanding of the metals industry a strong asset, including powder coating and aluminum extrusions
  • High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated individual
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
  • Reliability, integrity, passion and in-person presentation skills with a strong ability to establish relationships and close deals
  • Exceptional, industry leading, customer service skills with a proven strength in exceeding client expectations and an ability to identify best product and fit for client needs
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required
  • Must be flexible with work hours
