Client Overview and Job Summary
Our client is a growing U.S.-based healthcare company focused on expanding access to hearing care through partnerships between the optometry and audiology professions.
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development & Marketing Specialist who can help grow the company's network of optical and audiology partners while supporting marketing, billing, and day-to-day business operations. A key focus of this role is outbound business development. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations with prospective partners, reaching decision-makers, generating interest, and booking qualified meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Appointment Setting
- Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to optical centers, optometry practices, audiology centers, and other prospective partners.
- Research and identify partnership opportunities in Arizona and across the U.S.
- Connect with business owners and decision-makers, introduce partnership opportunities, and generate interest.
- Qualify prospects and schedule partnership meetings for the client to close.
- Maintain consistent outbound activity and professionally follow up with prospects.
- Track leads, outreach activities, follow-ups, and appointments accurately.
- Help develop an organized and repeatable outreach process.
- Recommend CRM, lead-generation, or outreach tools that can improve efficiency and results.
- Proactively identify new opportunities and strategies for business growth.
Marketing & Branding
- Manage and support the company's Facebook and social media presence.
- Create and schedule basic social media content, including periodic Reels and short-form content.
- Assist with Shopify website updates and improvements.
- Support marketing, branding, and digital presence initiatives.
- Recommend tools, content ideas, or strategies that can strengthen the company's brand and support lead generation.
Medical Billing & Insurance Support
Approximately 25% of the role may involve intermittent billing and insurance-related tasks.
- Assist with medical billing and insurance verification.
- Use Availity for billing and insurance-related processes.
- Support billing related to hearing aid fitting procedures.
- Maintain accurate billing and administrative records.
- Provide healthcare administrative support as needed.
Administrative & Operational Support
Provide general executive and administrative support, including calendar and spreadsheet management, data entry, research, record organization, task follow-ups, process improvements, marketing support, and ad hoc projects as business needs evolve.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, lead generation, and/or appointment setting.
- Proven experience with cold calling and email outreach.
- Confident in communicating with business owners and key decision-makers to generate qualified opportunities.
- Experience with Facebook/social media management and basic content creation.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Sheets, Docs, and Calendar.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong follow-up, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Resourceful and comfortable recommending better tools or processes.
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, get-it-done mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Availity, medical billing, or insurance verification.
- Healthcare administrative experience, particularly in optometry, audiology, or hearing care.
- Experience with HubSpot, Copper, Grasshopper, or other CRM/VoIP platforms.
- Experience with Shopify, Reels, short-form content, website management, or digital branding.
- Experience developing or improving sales outreach processes.

Basic Requirements
- Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.

- Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
