Leo Berwick is seeking a Vice President, M&A Tax to join our Global Capabilities Center in Gurugram. This hands-on, non-client-facing role will support U.S.-based teams in delivering tax due diligence and executing transactions for our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with U.S.-based stakeholders on live engagements while also mentoring a small junior team.

What you'll do
Execute onIndia-based,U.S. M&A tax due diligence projects, including acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions
Review financial, tax, and legal documentation toidentifytax risks and transaction considerations
Analyze historical tax positions, compliance matters, and potential exposures
Prepare and review tax due diligence reports, presentations, and client deliverables
Assistwith tax modeling of various transaction scenarios to compare after tax returns
Assistwith structuring legal steps necessary to complete transactions
Supervise and mentor junior members
Helpestablishconsistent processes, quality controls, and delivery standards for the Global Capabilities Center
Manage internal workflows, priorities, and deadlines across multiple live engagements
Coordinate with U.S.-based engagement leaders and internal deal team members to supporttimely,accurate, and high-quality execution
Provide guidance to a small India-based team
What you bring
6-10 years of experience in Transaction Tax, M&A Tax, and TaxDue Diligence.
CA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent qualification preferred
Strong understanding ofU.S.transaction tax concepts and deal-related tax risks
Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
Experience and comfort working remotely with global teams in a U.S.-facing support model
Prior experience in a Big 4, accounting firm, law firm, or transaction advisory environmentstronglypreferred
Experience working with private equity and corporate clients is a plus
