About the Role & Team

The Audience Development Intern will support building, maintaining, and improving audience databases to help drive event recruitment across North America. This includes identifying the right audience profiles based on event criteria, sourcing new contact data, cleaning and validating existing records, and supporting outreach efforts to maximize registrations and attendance. This role requires strong research skills, data accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the events, marketing, and audience development teams.

What You'll Do

Audience Recruitment & Event Support

  • Identify and recruit the right target audience for North America events based on event objectives, target job titles, industries, company types, geographies, and other attendee criteria.
  • Support attendee acquisition efforts for webinars, virtual events, in-person conferences, executive roundtables, and custom event programs.
  • Execute audience invitation activities through approved outreach channels, including email campaigns, phone outreach, LinkedIn research, and other relevant methods.
  • Help drive event registration and attendance by ensuring the right audience is invited in a timely and targeted manner.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand event requirements and audience priorities for each campaign.
  • Monitor recruitment progress and provide updates on audience coverage, gaps, and opportunities.

Data Research & New Audience Sourcing

  • Research and identify new audience data based on event-specific requirements and target profiles.
  • Build and expand prospect lists using internal databases, market research, online resources, professional platforms, and other approved data sources.
  • Source net-new contacts and companies that align with event targeting criteria across the US and broader North America region.
  • Continuously explore new channels and methods for audience discovery and data acquisition.
  • Ensure sourced data is relevant, complete, and aligned to campaign goals before it is added to the database.

Data Cleaning, Validation & Database Management

  • Clean and maintain existing audience databases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability.
  • Validate contact records regularly, including names, job titles, company information, email addresses, phone numbers, and relevant segmentation fields.
  • Remove duplicate, outdated, or invalid records and update existing data as needed.
  • Segment and organize audience data based on campaign needs, such as industry, function, seniority, region, and event interest.
  • Conduct ongoing data hygiene activities to improve database health and outreach effectiveness.
  • Support periodic audits of audience records and recommend improvements to data quality processes.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Track recruitment activity, list-building progress, database updates, and audience quality metrics.
  • Prepare simple reports and summaries on sourcing activity, invitation coverage, record validation, and campaign readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with the Audience Development Manager, US, and relevant internal teams to improve recruitment strategies and database quality.
  • Share feedback and insights from audience engagement and sourcing trends to help refine future targeting efforts.
  • Maintain clear documentation of work completed, sources used, and status of audience development activities.
  • Send confirmation emails to qualified registrations and decline emails to non-qualified registrations, manage registration lists, and support recruitment for additional event formats such as 1:1 meetings and lunch/dinner events.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in the last semesters of a Bachelor's degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, or related fields).
  • Able to commit to the internship for at least 1 year.
