Assistant Construction Manager

Ameresco is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the construction of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects. This position is a remote based position and periodic travel to jobsites will be expected.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain organization of project documents, plans sets, and specifications onsite and on Procore and make sure they are distributed to the project team. 
• Assist with inventory control of instrumentation, valves, and equipment.  This includes working with the CMs/PMs to update logs and document the receipt and inspection of any item received on site to verify all required material orders are fulfilled. 
• Assist the onsite CMs with jobsite trailer organization (plan sets, as-builts, etc) and assist with daily activities and project/contractor coordination/scheduling. The expectation is that the person who fills this position could travel between multiple projects at times to assist on various projects. 
• Assist the site CMs/PMs with overall QA/QC.
• Enter daily reports and photos on Procore.
• Assist with processing RFIs and follow through to make sure responses are received in a timely manner.
• Process construction submittals and follow through to make sure review comments are received in a timely manner.
• Attending project meetings and create/distribute meeting notes to project team in a timely manner.
• Gather information, create, and send out change orders both to subcontractors and client representatives for initial approval.
• Assist with maintaining project schedules and communicate this with the subcontractors.
• Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Managers.
• Assist with issuing bid packages to vendors and subcontractors for pricing and delivery schedules.
• Assist with analyzing proposals and bidder selection.
• Assist with tracking progress of vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with the procurement of permits (city, county, or state).
• Assist with budget tracking and planning.
• Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties.
• Willingness to travel to project sites to support construction operations as needed.
• Perform other duties necessary on the jobsite as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or an equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years project experience in construction projects, preferably related to energy, renewable natural gas, power generation or the industrial area.

Additional Qualifications:

• Advanced computer applications skills (Microsoft), including Project Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• Experience in developing project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and act quickly with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to interact and work with multi-functional teams including contractors, engineers, equipment vendors, customers and regulators.
• Excellent organization skills including ability to effectively work on multiple projects.
• Strong verbal, written, computer and communication skills.
• Willingness to grow, learn, and develop new skills.
• Valid Driver License issued by state of residence and in good standing. 
• Procore experience is preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $64,000 - $92,500 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.

Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
