About the Company

Our client is an international manufacturer of urban infrastructure and public environment solutions with a strong presence across Northern Europe. Germany is one of the company's key strategic growth markets as it pursues an ambitious expansion plan to become the leading Northern European player in urban furniture and public environment solutions. Currently strengthening German organization with the ambition to significantly develop the business over the coming years. To support this growth, we are looking for a hands-on and commercially driven Area Manager who enjoys customer contact, building relationships and actively creating new business to join our client's team.

As Area Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing customers in the German market, visiting customers, following up on quotations and actively looking for new opportunities in this highly commercial and practical sales role. What You Will Do:

  • Manage and develop existing customer relationships in Germany
  • Actively identify and approach new potential customers
  • Generate new sales opportunities and projects
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits and product presentations
  • Prepare and follow up quotations and commercial proposals
  • Follow projects from initial customer dialogue through quotation and order
  • Build long-term relationships with municipalities, public organizations, contractors, architects, planners and other relevant customers and partners
  • Identify upcoming projects and public tenders
  • Maintain an active and structured sales pipeline
  • Keep customer activities, opportunities and follow-ups updated in Salesforce CRM
  • Systematically follow up quotations, leads and previous customers
  • Work closely with technical and project colleagues to ensure the right solutions for customers
  • Introduce and cross-sell products from the wider portfolio to the German market
  • Provide regular input regarding pipeline, forecasts, customer needs and market opportunities
  • Contribute actively to the continued growth and development in Germany

What You Bring:

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded salesperson who is comfortable taking ownership of their customer portfolio and actively developing the market.

Ideally, you have:

  • Experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
  • Proven ability to grow existing customer relationships while actively developing new business
  • Experience selling technical, infrastructure, construction or other project-based products is an advantage
  • Experience working with municipalities, public organizations, contractors, architects, planners or similar stakeholders is a plus
  • Understanding of tenders and project-based sales processes is beneficial
  • A hands-on approach with confidence in customer meetings, site visits and regular follow-ups
  • Strong relationship-building skills combined with a genuine drive for new business
  • A proactive, commercial mindset and a strong sense of ownership
  • Fluent German and good command of English
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region and stay close to customers
