🎯 Mission & Core Purpose
Your mission is to turn the iubenda affiliate program into a scalable and predictable acquisition channel that brings new paying customers every month.
As our Affiliate Manager, you’ll own the iubenda affiliate end to end: strategy, partner recruitment, activation, incentives, tracking and reporting. You’ll work with web designers, developers, agencies, consultants, content creators, review sites and communities who recommend iubenda to their own audiences.
You’ll be part of the marketing team, next to Paid, Lifecycle and SEO & AI Search. This means you can use the same data, content and campaigns to grow the channel faster. It’s a hands-on role: you set the plan, and you also run the outreach yourself.
💼 Key Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Ownership:
Own the affiliate program strategy, quarterly goals and roadmap for iubenda.
Design and improve the commission model, incentives, offers and promo codes, within the agreed budget and margin targets.
Decide which partner segments and markets to focus on, based on data.
Partner Recruitment:
Build and work a pipeline of new partners: web designers and developers, agencies, WordPress and website builder communities, privacy and legal consultants, SaaS review and comparison sites, bloggers, YouTubers and newsletter owners.
Find, reach out, pitch and sign up new partners, and negotiate terms with high-potential ones.
Use tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, LinkedIn and affiliate networks to find partners who already rank, or get cited in AI search, for topics close to our products.
Activation & Growth:
Turn new sign-ups into active, high-performing partners with a strong onboarding, ready-to-use assets and clear messaging.
Build a tiered approach: personal management for top partners, scaled communication (partner newsletters, automated sequences) for the long tail.
Re-engage partners who have gone quiet, and grow the output of the best ones with co-marketing, dedicated landing pages and exclusive offers.
Program Operations:
Own the affiliate platform setup, tracking and attribution, together with the Analytics and Product teams.
Review commissions and coordinate payouts on time and accurately.
Keep the program clean: detect fraud, brand bidding and misuse of our brand.
Make sure partners describe iubenda correctly, without promises like “100% compliant” or “guaranteed compliance”.
Keep partner-facing materials and documentation up to date.
Experimentation & Analytics:
Run growth experiments on outreach, partner types, incentives, offers and landing pages. Measure the results, then scale the winners.
Track recruitment, activation, clicks, conversions, new MRR and partner ROI by partner, segment and market.
Share clear weekly and monthly updates with your recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with Lifecycle, Paid, SEO & AI Search and Content on campaigns, partner newsletters and co-marketing ideas.
Share partner and market feedback with Product and Marketing.
👤 Your Profile
You’re a self-starter who enjoys building relationships as much as looking at numbers. You’re comfortable starting conversations with people you’ve never met, and you follow up until you get a result. You think in funnels (recruited, activated, converting) and you know where to push next.
You like to test new ideas fast, keep what works and stop what doesn’t. You work well on your own in a remote, international team, and you enjoy owning a channel from start to finish.
💡 Experience & Skills
3-5 years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships or partner/performance marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or web tools.
A proven track record of recruiting and scaling affiliate partners and growing revenue from the channel.
Hands-on experience with affiliate platforms or networks (e.g. Impact, PartnerStack, Rewardful, FirstPromoter, CJ, Awin or similar).
A good understanding of tracking, attribution, commission models and affiliate KPIs.
Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
A data-driven approach: comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards and analytics tools to decide where to focus.
Excellent English. A second European language (Italian, Spanish, German or French) is a strong plus.
Strong organisation and follow-through, so no partner conversation slips through the cracks.
✨Nice to have
A network in web design, developer, agency or WordPress communities.
Experience with creator partnerships (YouTube, newsletters, LinkedIn).
Basic knowledge of SEO, content marketing and AI search.
Interest in privacy, data protection or legal tech.
