Wu Pediatrics is looking for a friendly and organized Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team in Temple City, CA. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients and families at the front desk with a warm, welcoming attitude
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries in a timely manner
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and medical documentation (EMR/EHR)
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and correspondence with specialists
- Support clinical staff with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Requirements:
- 1+ year of administrative or front desk experience, preferably in a medical or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical office software
- Knowledge of health insurance, billing basics, and insurance verification processes
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, patient-facing demeanor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Mandarin) a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
