Accountant / Financial External Reporting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced, organised and highly motivated Accountant / Financial External Reporting Specialist to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who wants to join a dynamic professional services environment, work with high-quality clients and play an important role in the further growth of our finance department.

In this role, you will:

• Maintaining and adjusting accounting records (1C) to meet the requirements of external financial reporting.

• Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping entries, reconciliations and accounting reports;

• Issuing invoices and verifying incoming/outgoing contracts for compliance with accounting requirements if needed.

• Participating in data reconciliation and tax planning processes.

• Preparing management accounts and financial reports;

• Supporting the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS;

• Interaction with auditors, passing the audit;

• Communicating with banks, auditors, tax authorities and other external advisors;

• Communication with other departments (PSP, treasurers, legal, corporate etc.)

• Reviewing accounting records to ensure proper tax,

• Monitoring filing deadlines and ensuring timely submission of all relevant returns;

• Assisting with the improvement of internal accounting processes, templates and workflows.
  
  
  
  Skills you’ll need to bring:
  

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field;

• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an accounting, audit, fiduciary or professional services firm;

• Knowledge of 1C will be considered as advantage;

• Knowledge of Cyprus accounting, tax;

• Good understanding of IFRS and preparation of accounting records for audit purposes;

• Good command of English, written and spoken;

• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks;

• Professional, responsible and detail-oriented approach;

• Strong communication skills and ability to deal directly with management and external advisors.
