Position Summary

Remote, Field-Based
Location: Singapore or Japan
Travel: Up to 60% across the APAC region

Catalent is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Director, Biologics to accelerate growth across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on new business acquisition, market penetration, and revenue growth. We are looking for a highly motivated commercial professional who enjoys opening doors, building relationships, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships while thriving in a target-driven environment.

Covering key markets across APAC, the Account Director will develop and execute growth strategies that drive new customer acquisition and expand Catalent's biologics manufacturing footprint. Leveraging Catalent's industry-leading biologics development and manufacturing capabilities, you will build a strong pipeline of opportunities and help customers bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.

The Role (daily responsibilities)

• Drive revenue growth through proactive business development and new customer acquisition across the APAC region.
• Build and execute territory and account strategies that generate a strong pipeline of biologics development and manufacturing opportunities.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers across biotech and pharmaceutical organizations, from technical leaders to executive stakeholders.
• Identify customer outsourcing needs and position Catalent's biologics, drug substance, and sterile fill-finish capabilities as strategic solutions.
• Lead commercial activities from opportunity qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.
• Partner with technical, operational, and marketing teams to evaluate opportunities and accelerate deal progression.
• Represent Catalent at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events to expand market presence and generate new opportunities.
• Deliver against revenue, pipeline, and new logo acquisition targets while maintaining long-term customer relationships that support future growth.

The Candidate (requirements)

• Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven success in business development, strategic account management, or commercial sales within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO industry.
• Strong hunter mindset with a demonstrated track record of winning new business, developing strategic customer relationships, and closing complex commercial agreements.
• Experience selling biologics development, drug substance manufacturing, mammalian cell culture, sterile fill-finish, or related outsourcing services is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, prioritize, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers across technical, operational, procurement, and executive functions.
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology landscape across Japan and the broader APAC region.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential, along with the ability to travel extensively throughout the APAC region.
