The VP, Product Management owns product strategy and product management across FinThrive's Patient Access line of business. This leader establishes the portfolio vision, roadmap, investment priorities, pricing and lifecycle strategy, and leads the teams responsible for translating market and customer needs into differentiated, high-value solutions.
The role is accountable for portfolio performance, client value, adoption, retention and profitable growth. Working across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Support and Services, this leader drives disciplined execution from market insight and business case development through launch, adoption and ongoing optimization. The VP also builds and develops a high-performing product organization and contributes to broader company strategy, culture and mission.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end strategy for the Patient Access portfolio, including product vision, market positioning, roadmap, pricing, packaging, investment priorities and build, buy, partner or exit recommendations.
- Lead portfolio planning and lifecycle management across these solutions, balancing innovation, feature development, break/fix priorities, regulatory and market needs, platform modernization and product rationalization.
- Builds and manages their product team, investing in their growth and development
- Drives a client-centric solution strategy and product roadmap for superior client insight & value while defining highly differentiated solutions
- Institutes best-in-class processes for monitoring and measuring the success of products and taking new products to market. Rapidly incorporates key learnings while tracking the competitive marketplace to keep the platform at the forefront of financial and operational optimization offerings for the healthcare provider technology market
- Achieves organizational alignment through cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, development, implementation, support and service solutions and a variety of external stakeholders to rapidly iterate on the current product, increase client satisfaction and win rates
- Improves NPS, client retention, client usage and adoption through systematized feedback loops and increased emphasis on product stickiness
- Serves as a key member of the product management leadership team contributing to company strategy, vision, culture, and mission
- Manages the P&L for their solution portfolio to ensure positive performance against established revenue and earnings forecasts and develops strategies to mitigate any risk to these financial goals
- Participates in the sales process as needed to help convey product vision and value proposition, and that sales support resources are prepared to convey this same message effectively
- Remains knowledgeable on changes in the information technology and healthcare fields
- Performs other tasks and projects as needed

- Ensure systematic and insightful feedback on marketplace and competitor trends, as well as the evolving needs of customer segments. Serve as “eyes and ears” for market planning and new solutions/product development
- Foster flexibility within the organization to respond to ongoing marketplace changes and opportunities
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of product strategy, roadmaps and lifecycle decisions.
- 5+ years of progressive product leadership experience, including building, leading and developing product teams in a growth-oriented technology organization.
- 2-3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, Patient Access or a closely related healthcare technology environment, with experience developing cloud-based or software solutions.
- Demonstrated operational experience managing a product or portfolio P&L and using financial and operating metrics to guide prioritization decisions.
- Strong command of Agile and product management methodologies and experience partnering with Product Owners and software-development teams.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to establish trust, influence decisions and create alignment with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical judgment, accountability and results orientation, with the ability to create urgency while maintaining a clear long-term vision.
- Ability to serve as a healthcare-industry thought leader and translate marketplace and regulatory change into product strategy.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other tools required for the role.
- Travel required: Up to 50%.
What we would like to see
- Experience with patient access solutions and/or operations including eligibility, authorization, identity, registration or related healthcare revenue-cycle workflows.
- Experience leading portfolio modernization, product integration, acquisition integration or product rationalization.
