The WEFE Nexus and Capacity Development Specialist (Environment and Energy) will be recruited under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative in Libya and the technical supervision of the FAO Subregional Office for North Africa (FAOSNE) Land and Water Officer. The specialist will work in close collaboration with the project team to support the implementation of project activities and ensure the achievement of project objectives.

The incumbent will contribute to the preparation of a GCF concept note and pre-feasibility assessment for a proposed WEFE Nexus climate-smart agriculture project, ensuring the integration of environmental sustainability and energy considerations. The specialist will also support capacity development activities, including Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes and their replication within relevant government institutions. In addition, the incumbent will contribute to the effective coordination and implementation of other project activities, providing technical support as required to advance the project’s objectives.
