A leading digital health media company and trusted publisher within the HCP community, connecting pharmaceutical and life sciences brands with highly qualified, curated healthcare provider audiences. Through an innovative omnichannel platform spanning sponsored content, newsletters, email programs, display media, and data-driven engagement tools, the company delivers measurable brand and disease state education outcomes for pharma and biotech clients. Part of a larger global healthcare technology network with deep physician community reach.

We are seeking a VP of Sales to lead direct-to-pharma business development and grow a pipeline of net-new pharmaceutical brand clients. This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role for a commercially savvy, relationship-driven sales leader who understands both the publisher side (HCP media, sponsored content, audience monetization) and the pharma brand side (omnichannel strategy, HCP engagement, Rx lift metrics).

The ideal candidate is fluent in selling media and data solutions to pharma brand teams, omnichannel leads, and marketing VPs — and can credibly represent a publisher's HCP audience value proposition in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead all growth opportunities within key domestic pharma and biotech clients
  • Employ a consultative selling approach to uncover unmet needs and map them to platform solutions including sponsored content, HCP-targeted media, data analytics, and omnichannel engagement programs
  • Own the full pitch process, coordinating across sales, data, strategy, product, and editorial/content teams
  • Bring a publisher-side perspective to client conversations — articulating the value of owned HCP audience reach, content formats, and engagement data
  • Build and continuously expand a direct-to-pharma pipeline, targeting brand directors, medical affairs leads, omnichannel teams, and marketing VPs
  • Lead thought leadership on how to best position evolving platform capabilities to the pharma market
  • Attend key industry events (e.g. DTC National, PMCF, ePharma) to network, develop leads, and promote platform capabilities

Requirements

Ideal Background

  • 8–10 years of sales leadership in healthcare media, pharma marketing, health data, or digital health technology
  • Publisher-side experience strongly preferred — candidates who have sold HCP media, sponsored content, newsletter/email programs, or audience-based solutions on behalf of a healthcare publisher or media platform
  • Proven track record closing net-new logos with pharma brand teams, especially in HCP engagement, omnichannel campaigns, data analytics, or modular content
  • Hybrid background spanning media/publishing, agency, martech, or data — fluent in both commercial/brand language and clinical/medical context
  • Familiarity with performance-based media metrics: HCP reach, engagement rates, Rx lift, behavior change indicators, and campaign ROI
  • Strong pipeline forecasting and account management discipline
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
