Position Overview


Benchmark Gensuite is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Sales Executive (Deal Owner) to join our growing Commercial team. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing the full enterprise sales cycle, and driving revenue growth for Benchmark Gensuite's industry-leading Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Sustainability, and Operational Excellence software solutions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced SaaS sales professional who thrives in customer-facing environments, enjoys building executive-level relationships, and has a proven track record of closing complex B2B software deals. Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions is essential, while exposure to EHS, ESG, Sustainability, or Operational Excellence solutions is highly desirable.


This is a UK-based remote position with occasional travel for customer meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration. Candidates located within proximity to London are preferred. Additional European language skills are considered an advantage but are not required.


Key Responsibilities


  • Own the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, contract execution, and deal closure.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within target enterprise accounts across multiple industries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior business leaders and executive stakeholders to understand business objectives and position Benchmark Gensuite's solutions effectively.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximize revenue opportunities and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Conduct discovery conversations and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer business challenges.
  • Collaborate with Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts while balancing customer needs with company objectives.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity within CRM systems.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging customer priorities related to EHS, Sustainability, ESG, and Operational Excellence.
  • Represent Benchmark Gensuite at customer meetings, industry conferences, and networking events as needed.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance metrics.


Experience & Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of successful enterprise SaaS sales experience in a customer-facing commercial role.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex B2B sales cycles from prospecting through contract signature.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Experience selling software solutions to enterprise organizations and engaging executive-level decision-makers.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience delivering product demonstrations and leading commercial conversations with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce (or similar) to manage pipeline and forecasting.
  • Interest or experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Sustainability, ESG, Risk Management, or Operational Excellence solutions is highly desirable.
  • Additional European language proficiency is a plus.
