Position Summary

The Lead Director, Product and Program Management will lead the product strategy and execution for Aetna’s Employee Assistance Program. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in emerging solutions that support overall well-being in a highly dynamic space. This role is responsible for directing the strategic development and implementation of large product initiatives, including new products and product enhancements, and ensuring integration of product strategy within business strategic and operational plans. The Director will lead a team of product managers responsible for delivering across product development, vendor selection and oversight, financial planning and tracking, and project management for large product initiatives.


Location

This is a fully remote position. Eligible candidates may live anywhere in the contiguous United States.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develops a comprehensive product management and development strategy aligned with Resources for Living’s goals, market trends, and customer needs to support competitive advantage in the employer mental well-being industry
  • Conducts market research and analysis, analyzes customer insights, and monitors industry trends to identify market opportunities and competitive dynamics.
  • Designs a product roadmap that outlines the vision, goals, and prioritization of features and enhancements for product development.
  • Manages the product development lifecycle, including core planning, backlog management, and iteration reviews.
  • Manages vendor selection and performance for vendors supporting the Resources for Living product portfolio
  • Partners closely with Resources for Living marketing and sales enablement on product launches to support marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and customer onboarding activities to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Communicates with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and user stories based on market needs, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders, including executives, marketing, sales, and customer support teams, to gather feedback, align objectives, and ensure successful product launches.
  • Develops relationships across Resources for Living Sales, Account Management, and Operations to ensure the product's development and user experience designs align with customer expectations and usability best practices.
    Designs key performance indicators (KPIs) while monitoring product performance metrics, such as user engagement, customer satisfaction, and revenue, to assess product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develops investment requests to fund new product initiatives and monitors performance against business case

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15 years relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience managing a product portfolio with strong experience driving the full product lifecycle – managed care or healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team including managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects including influencing internal and external stakeholders up to and including executive level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Product Manager (CPM)
  • Managed care or healthcare experience
  • Digital product experience

 

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent* experience, specialized training, relevant professional qualification, MBA preferred.

 

*Equivalent years of experience defined by CVS Policy: If candidate has associate’s degree, additional 2 years of experience is needed.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
