The mission
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product team. You will help us create documentation for Hume, our connected data analytics platform used by intelligence analysts and data engineers in mission-critical environments.
You will be joining a growing team that is responsible for the evolution of Hume - our in-house developed graph analytics solution.
As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for technical documentation content targeted at the users of B2B software in the domain of Knowledge Graphs.
You will work closely with the product team and the engineering team to ensure that work is delivered smoothly and in line with the overall plans and goals of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Create: You will be writing documentation for the end user guide, operations manual and tutorials that will be consumed by admins, devops teams, data engineers, data scientists and analysts. In addition, you will collaborate on and contribute to Hume Academy - our Hume training program. You need to develop an excellent technical understanding of Hume as well as knowledge about how Hume and its third party software is deployed, configured and used.
- Maintain: Ensure that Hume documentation is up to date with our release cycle.
- Collaborate: Work with our other technical writer on collaborative documentation improvements according to the product roadmap.
What you need to bring
- Technical Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical writer in software development.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of Docs as Code and Git.
- Ability to learn and document new technologies.
- Bonus Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Markdown, AsciiDoc or previous experience with Antora Docs (and Algolia search).
- Experience with API documentation.
- Experience in working at the cross-section of engineering, product and DevOps, creating technical documentation for a fast growing B2B software solution.
- Knowledge of graph database concepts.
- Knowledge of Cypher and Neo4j.
